from the GB Post Gazette

How bad does your team have to be to turn down a spot on an NFL 53 man roster?

Tori Gurley decided his prospects were better staying where he is, so rather than take the Minnesota Vikings' offer for a spot on their 53-man roster this week, he accepted a pay raise to remain on the Green Bay Packers' practice squad the rest of the season

That is just insult to injury

Lets see, he'll continue to get playoff checks and maybe a ring.. no brainer
never thought about the playoff checks - but for practice squad members, its just their usual pay, not -a full share, but it's still cash.
Plus, hey, I mean the WRs on GB have been banged up - it's not impossible for this guy to have a chance to actually play a little in January (not probable of course)-QG

Sometimes this also has to do with their previous playing time. Once you hit a certain number of active games, you are no longer eligible for practice squads...which can sometimes signal the end of someone's career.

I don't think that applies in this case, because I think he'd have to be on Minnesota's active roster for 6 games to lose his practice squad eligibility.
