I think I'd have ten Rush songs before I had one Neil Young song.Picking 30 Neil Young songs, or even 31, seems like a reasonable option.
And I don't think I can name ten Rush songs.
I'm not prejudiced. I'm an equal opportunity disliker.I think I'd have ten Rush songs before I had one Neil Young song.Picking 30 Neil Young songs, or even 31, seems like a reasonable option.

not only do you **** on Rush ...you **** on the Neil even more ...
You are a Leader Of MenI was having more trouble with this one than I expected. Last night only came up with 27 artists off the top of my head, and a couple of the artists were stretches and one was listed as "that Australian band that sings that one song" (getting old is fun). But then I went through my favorite songs playlist and realized I'm a dummy. It's an embarrassment of riches.
I had forgotten about Nickelback at first too.
My 2nd favorite band from New Zealand.I think I’m just going to do 31 songs from Flight of the Conchords.
Trigger alert: MurderI got a good deal on a new-ish couch from Salvation Army, and so I am In!
BTW, anyone know how to get rid of Black Widow nests?
Pretty good for New Zealand’s fourth most popular guitar-based digi-bongo acapella-rap-funk-comedy folk duo.My 2nd favorite band from New Zealand.I think I’m just going to do 31 songs from Flight of the Conchords.
This is a hyphenated word that is not used nearly enough.

So far, two jam songs have made my fo sho list.
I'm looking through you. This is a ploy to stop me from owning Yahoo Serious. So far, two jam songs have made my fo sho list.
Someone remind me not to put Mister CIA's picks first when we get to the daily lists. Or any Rush fans.
Most of my picks will be perfectly acceptable as first tracks. So far, two jam songs have made my fo sho list.

Looking over the landscape, I can't help but think that this countdown...
...is going to feature more artists that nobody has ever heard of and yet...
...will have the closest thing to a consensus #1 pick than either the US or UK countdowns.
Do you mean artist or song? Or both?
Same here. I had six months of retirement and could not stand it. So I kept my license and took a normal job and having a blast. Any help would be appreciated.I will gladly take a PM from anyone that is willing to share their artist list.
I believe so. Also known as the "Benedict Arnold" exemption.Eligibility question...
If a band has both American AND English members they'd be valid for this countdown, right? Because such a situation would have invalidated then from each of the last lists.

You should probably add me to the group blacklisted from the top spot too in that case.So far, two jam songs have made my fo sho list.

William Shatner does have a certain allure.I keep finding more artists that qualify. This is tougher than I thought.
Correct. The example would be a band like Tool with a British bassist.Eligibility question...

Presumably those of us who did a single-artist countdown would have to come up with something else, since those cards have been played. So we all just doing 31 songs from one band this time??
Honestly, I think that would be a fun countdown/draft as well. Each of us bring to the table their top 31 songs from a band/artist, but we don't say who it is before the draft starts.
Did you finish your Radiohead list yet?So we all just doing 31 songs from one band this time??

Why are YOU asking? You're gonna snipe 'em all anywayDid you finish your Radiohead list yet?So we all just doing 31 songs from one band this time??

Of course. I just figured most of us have 5-10 bands we love enough to throw together 31 songs for. I guess the downfall would be if several of us do the same artist.Presumably those of us who did a single-artist countdown would have to come up with something else, since those cards have been played. So we all just doing 31 songs from one band this time??

You'd take Grand Funk just to bust me out for being a jerk-face, wouldn't you?I’d be willing to forego the Beatles on that.

Knowing this crew, there would probably be digging a little deeper for a band to highlight, but maybe I am wrong. We could also figure out way to do either a public or secret random order/draft and limit it to only one drafter allowed/artist.I think this is a great idea.Of course. @krista4 please enact the KP is forbidden from selecting Tool clause we discussed privately. I pay in quantities (but not quality) of vino.

(narrator: NOBODY would do that)
So the Police are eligible here?Eligibility: The rules for eligibility in this countdown will be "songs that weren't eligible in the first two countdowns"; please refer to the eligibility requirements and ineligible lists in those for guidance.
Yes, The Police are eligible here. This eligibility thing is ****ing me over.
So if a band had US and British Isles members they weren’t eligible for either list? Like the Police?

"mixed" bands that were not eligible (i.e. The Police) can be used in this one.So the Police are eligible here?

Thanks all. Therefore you could do a list of 31 easily comprised entirely of UK and US artists with the rules set up in the first two.
Pretty good lists too.
Thats boring though. 31 countries, here i come.
