Herman Edwards is only annoying because his co-workers suck up to him because a) he gave him that stupid "You play to win the game!" line that they repeat ad nauseam now, and b) they act like he was some coaching great (when his 54-74 record says otherwise).

Probably Tom Rinaldi - those breathy "docu-drama" stories make we want to puke - it's like Stuart Smalley crap. His butt kissing of Tiger and Penn State/Joe Paterno and all the crap around Notre Dame(especially the Teo days)- are way way way over the top.

ESPN has become less about sports and more about ESPN. Once they finally crossed the line into the "entertainment" side of their brand, stuff is gonna get annoying.

I've been watching foxsports1 for their version of Sportcenter. Still not perfect but at least it's different.

Haven't checked that show out yet, but thanks for the suggestion. All I want are the highlights, with some interviews, maybe some witty studio banter and lead ins. I don't care for any host or guest's perspective/shtick. They are wrong in most cases anyway.

It is kinda odd...it's like they've got him confused with Tony Dungy or something.

I watch this in the morning before work now. I enjoy it much more. I like the fact that they show sports highlights.

:lmao:

You guys can complain about anything.

Acting like you can't stand any of them, yet you know all of their bodies of work.

Are the writers who appear on Around The Horn (while not appearing anywhere else on ESPN) considered ESPN employees? If so, Bill Plaschke would be high on my list. He is the king of the stupid argument on that show.

How is Jemele Hill not on this list??? That huge bag of jelly!

Jemele, Skip, Stephen A Smith (I think he randomly picks a page in websters before every show and decides to incorporate a large word that has nothing to do with anything), & chris brousard - I don't even think it's close.

Van Pelt and Rossillo are the best thing ESPN has to offer, outside of Sportscenter (which is frankly on the way out with the internet).

I have no desire to punch any of the guys, but Olbermann is the most annoying to me. I can't watch Bayless and Stephen A because their shtick isn't my thing, but I recognize it as such and am not annoyed by it or anything.

The guy that most deserves to be punched is probably the higher ups screwing with Dan Patrick. Love the Dan Patrick show.

Had voted for Skip Bayless, but was listening by accident to First Take today (too lazy to find remote and change channel) and wanted to slap Stephen A. Smith. God is he annoying. Every discussion ends up being a screaming argument centered about him. I know most of the ESPN guys end up talking about themselves, but these two guys are ridiculous!

The only thing I watch on ESPN anymore is PTI. And that's just because I can get the main sports stories in 30 minutes. I DVR it and fast forward through most stuff. Kornheiser is all right. He at least can laugh at himself. But Wilbon is a tool. He contradicts himself on just about everything. Tony does it too, but not as much. Together, these guys are pretty annoying. I'm starting to think that I enjoy watching it so much because I hate them. Not sure how that works.

Where is Scott Van Pelt?
This might be the worst answer ever to any question.
We're really carrying this over from baseball, aren't we? That little golfy would-be needs a punch. He's awful. Crawful, if you will. The others are obvious, but I need a swing at that.
I don't even know what that means.

SVP is one of the best things ever to happen to ESPN. He's actually way too good for them.
:goodposting:

SVP is watchable when so much else on ESPN is not.

Never liked Stephen A. Smith. His "in da house" crap always got on my nerves. He does seem to have toned down that form of presentation though. Anyone else notice that?

Maybe it was after SNL made fun of him and said that he wasn't going bald, yet his hairline was trying to get away from his loud mouth.

Bayless should win this running away.

At first I used to think that Bayless purposely choose the sides he took in discussions to be controversial and give 1st Take more entertainment value.

I'm very sure now he is just a #######.
The problem with Bayless' shtick is, he looks like an ### because he roots for the teams that he predicted to win, just so he can say he was right. He could be the biggest Boston Red Sox fan in the world, but if he picked the Cardinals to win the World Series, he'd root for them because he'd rather be right and be able to boast about it on air than see the team he loves win. A real sports fan, he is not.

please add kenny stupid ### #### tard maine. dude is suddenly doing the west coast 11 pm sportscenter.

BEYOND AWFUL!!!!!!!!!!.

imagine those horrible bits he did on sunday for an hour.

This poll is fla\/\/ed without Alexi Lalas and Taylor Twellman. Lalas is a ##### that is only rivaled by Rich Eisen and Cris Collinsworth.

Berman and Gruden are just annoying.

Ray Lewis as an analyst on ESPN MNF is terrible... He's just loud and obnoxious - He makes one of the only guys I wanna hear (Steve Young) frustrated - it is almost visible that Steve is angry bc Ray is so overly in your face.

Guy is terrible!
