Before they moved it back into March, I'd agree with you, now it's too early to be 'Spring'.

1) The Masters

1a) Here in DC, the blooming of the Cherry Blossom trees along the Potomac River and the National Mall.

First robin sighting it used to be here in WI. Saw a group of 5 of them in early Feb in -10 weather.

Have to go with the tulips blooming. Will be a late on this year as there's still a couple feet of snow on the ground.

Walked around my front yard today to check out all the buds on the trees and the bulbs and daylillies starting to poke out. My ancestors were all Polack farmers, so this stuff gives me wood. Can't wait to fire up the mower, weed whacker, sprinklers, etc.

Another vote for the women in less clothing. All these other things are teases. But man, that first day in NYC when the shirts get tighter and the skirts get shorter...it's on

The problem with the 'less clothing' is you can have a weekend like we did here a couple weeks ago here in DC where it was 60 - 65 and people are running around in shorts, and then we get slammed with a huge snowstorm. Not exactly 'Spring.'

I've become more and more a fan of these skin tight black stretch pants the winter brings out... They really make any woman look sexier.

Back east the chicks wearing shorts, skirts, bikinis, etc. Out west we don't have winters so spring is really a meaningless term.

Miss those days of chicks starting to show skin, trees/flowers blooming, march madness, spring break.

Baseball's opening day was what I first thought of, but the Master's is a good one too. It's basically the same week.

It use to be the robins for me, but they have been freezing their tail feathers off for a while now. Stupid birds.

When I go out to my car after work and it is still cold out, but the inside of the car is warm from the sun.

At that point it is only a matter of time...

Living in NC (where we traditionally get Spring a few weeks earlier than the North), I've found the ACC tourney is my sign that spring is here. May be the first year that I can remember where this is not true.

ETA: For those living the NY area, and used to the fact that college sports take a backseat to professional, I was amazed when I moved down here in 1999 at the love the ACC tourney gets locally. In fact, everywhere I have worked brings TVs into the office (or projectors now) to watch the games...things literally shutdown; and this practice is not reciprocated for the NCAA tourney.

On a related note, when at the Masters I always get a kick out of people from other regions of the country or even foreigners that get so bothered by all of the pollen. I've been living in SC for 43 years and am pretty much immune to it. My wife on the other hand.....

My wife and dog have bad springtime allergies. I'm just annoyed when it accumulates on our vehicles.

A lady at work asked me how I keep my truck from getting pollen all over it. My response was that I haven't washed my vehicle in about 6 months. Anyway, pollen season only last 4-6 weeks so it's not really that bad.

If you get a really good wax job and keep it spotless, the pollen blows right off when you drive fast, like snow.
