This poll should be more a composite of the avid fan....being posted here at FBG......Granted I'm a Pats, but I would figure the Pats/Chargers game would have a higher interest level for the casual NFL fan. Most people would watch the game from the "I want to see them go undefeated" or "I don't want to miss seeing them get knocked off" angle. As for Giants/Packers, I don't think the overall storyline attracts the casual fan. Now Packers/Cowboys would have been a different story and I would have voted for that, although Pats/Colts would have easily trumped it.
With Jacobs and Bradshaw, count me among those who think the Giants can win.Even though NE is looking for 18-0, I think people will find greater interest in the GB-NYG game. There aren't many who believe that a banged up SD team can take down NE, but there are those who think that the Giants can take GB. The GB-NYG game also has: Favre (is this potentially his last game? many people want him to get another chance at a ring); and a game-time temperature of three degrees - which brings back the feel of old-time playoff football.
You are not great at this. The question is one question phrased 2 different ways. 1. Which game has a higher interest level?...determined and evidenced by:2. If you could only watch one of the two games this Sunday, which one would you watch? It is as straightforward as can be.Very flawed poll.Title: Which Game Has a Higher Interest Level? Poll question: If you could only watch one of the two games this Sunday, which one would you watch? I think these are two completely different questions, so the poll likely has people answering one or the other. I look at the title question as which is viewed as most interesting to the general public, which is going to be NE no matter what. The second one is which do we as viewers think will be the better game? In which case I think the obvious answer is GB/NYG. Now I know others will disagree with my choices, but for the most part, these are two VERY different questions and the poll results are going to be flawed due to the confusion.

No, but 56% of avid fan's (ie. 140 FBG SPoolers) view is a barometer of the nation as a whole. Really. How do you figure? Are you saying that my view is indicative of the nation as a whole? A barometer of what, what they think the nation views as the most interesting game? Or what they as avid fans would prefer to watch? Still two totally separate questions._4_ said:No, but 56% of avid fan's (ie. 140 FBG SPoolers) view is a barometer of the nation as a whole. Really.
Careful not to view the posters at FBGs are a barometer of anything. Pollsters try to survey a wide demographic, which this forum is far, far, from being._4_ said:No, but 56% of avid fan's (ie. 140 FBG SPoolers) view is a barometer of the nation as a whole. If a large majority of responders would rather watch the Patriots game, then the Patriots game has the higher interest level. If a large majority of the responders would prefer to watch NYG-GB, then the NYG-GB game has the higher interest level.A barometer of what, what they think the nation views as the most interesting game? In here, yes. Personally I would MUCH rather watch the GB/NYG game, and that is how I would answer the poll. But I don't think it is anywhere near the game with the highest interest level amongst the general public. In fact I doubt it's even close. The NE game will have much more viewership. If a large majority of responders would rather watch the Patriots game, then the Patriots game has the higher interest level. Whatever. Sorry if your ego is that fragile that me thinking your post was worded poorly causes you that much angst.Loke, it is arguments like that that give the Shark Pool such a bad name. I am beginning to understand the derision.
I go into hiding the day FBG posters views are considered a barometer of the nation!_4_ said:No, but 56% of avid fan's (ie. 140 FBG SPoolers) view is a barometer of the nation as a whole. OBVIOUSLY. And as already pointed out, the demographic polled here is that of the avid football fan. If I wanted to know what game arsonists were interested in, I would have gone to an arsonist forum. Respondents here are an excellent barometer of what game avid football fans have a more keen interest in watching.Careful not to view the posters at FBGs are a barometer of anything. Still, if you miss it and the Chargers win you just missed the game of your lifetime.Easily the Packers/Giants. I don't think New England has much chance of losing
I guess that is the rub. GB/Giants has a FAR better chance to be a MUCH better game - closer, great weather, real old school football.Chances are if you choose NE/SD you are going to watch a dud of a game just waiting to see if NE can close out the perfect season in two weeks.BUT, if SD can cash its lottery ticket (and especially with the injuries, that's what they have in terms of their chance) then you will have missed the second greatest upset in NFL history.Still, if you miss it and the Chargers win you just missed the game of your lifetime.Easily the Packers/Giants. Not really.I voted NE as I feel that has the potential to be history making. After reading your OP I wish I had voted for GB as that is the game I would watch if I could only watch 1 game. You are not great at this. The question is one question phrased 2 different ways. 1. Exactly.
