Every year in fantasy football, there is at least one week that leaves me scratching my head. I'm talking about a week where NOTHING goes as expected. The bad teams do very well, and the better teams have horrid weeks for no apparent (or predictable) reason. The last place team in my dynasty league scored a league season high score this week for their first win. No rhyme or reason. White Elephant showed it wasn't immune to this effect.
This week, our total points leader (through the first four weeks) went down. Rene's best WR was Doucet (who???), as McNabb, Mason, Marshall, and Chris Johnson all had season low outputs. Duckboy lost his only QB at the last minute, but got season high outputs by Heath Miller and Roy Williams to edge Rene' by a single point. Duckboy had entered week 5 as the 6th place team in total points, but a previous season low of 111.
Another of our highest scoring squads, Jeter (#3 entering), also barely survived, edging Rene' by just 4 points thanks to 14 from Indianapolis DST (which was more then the Colts got in weeks 1-4 COMBINED).
Through four weeks, Road Warriors was fairly mediocre, averaging 120 ppg. This week, he took high score at 151 . He needed a tie-breaker to steal the immunity from Fiddles though.
How is Ruffrodys managing to live on? Rodys is 87 points behind the next lowest surviving team...OVER 17 POINTS PER GAME!!!!!!
This week verifies for me why I would NEVER EVER spend serious money to compete in a survivor league! (I'm still very much addicted to them though!)
(Week 6/Season Total)
1. Pictus Cat (126/699)
2. Rudy (130/675)
3. Fiddles (151/635)

5. Road Warriors (151/631) (Immunity for week 6)
