White Sox 2011 Baseball (1 Viewer)

Jerry Owens......here's your one way ticket back to Charlotte, etc. We take Swisher out for him to run and in one pitch he goes idiot. You can't be that absolutely stupid on the base paths in a pennant race. He's in CF on the substitution now, but I wouldn't be surprised for him not to see the field again after this game.

ugh. A lot of us would not have complained about this back in June, but on the heels of losing Q, this isn't good news.

Paul Konerko left Tuesday's game in the fifth inning with a right knee injury. It looked like a bad one. Konerko's knee gave out on him as he was trying to begin a rundown between first and second base. He was in an eerily similar spot to where Jose Contreras was when Contreras suffered his ruptured Achilles' tendon last month. We're guessing that he'll miss the rest of the year, putting Nick Swisher at first base for the White Sox. Dewayne Wise, Brian Anderson and Jerry Owens will battle for time in the outfield. Maybe Josh Fields will be an option there as well.

Steve Stone moving to the booth with Hawk next year... DJ has been offered the radio analyst job. Interesting.
Yes, I read that on WS.com and am very grateful. Never much of a fan of DJ. Hawk and Wimpy were great and I was sad to see him go. I love Stone's knowledge of the game and hope Hawk and Stone have a nice chemistry. I don't think I caught any of the 7 games they have done together.

Javy pitches another gem. (Does Power Monster still think the trading of Chris Young was a bad idea? .245 hitting outfielders are a dime a dozen, pal. Above average pitchers who are 200 Inning per year horses are a commodity)

The ownage of Verlander continues

1 up (2 in the loss column) in the Central with a lead early in game 2 of the doubleheader.

Good things happening

Twins losing 6-1 to Cleveland in the third.

Sacks full of Sox with one out in the top of the 4th and they're already up 3-1.

BA comes up big again.

Also - not including today's 2 for 2, Juan Uribe since Crede went down the first time at the end of June

.283 / 4 / 19.

I think everyone would like to see more power out of a corner infield position, but there's really not a lot to complain about there.

Everyone here knows I can't stand him, but he has played one heck of a 3bag since Crede went down. Not to mention your numbers above.Still absolutely ABSURD that he was playing in front of Alexei early this year.
