NEW YORK -- Chicago White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen got his first ejection of the season that could be costly.
After getting tossed by home plate umpire Todd Tichenor after the top of the first inning, Guillen tweeted later, "This one going to cost me a lot money this is patetic (sic)."
Guillen was tossed from the dugout after Paul Konerko quickly protested a called third stike on a pitch he thought was low.
After getting ejected, Guillen was yelling and pointing in the face of Tichenor, who stood calmly. Umpire crew chief Gerry Davis walked from first base to try to calm the situation, although Guillen continued to point in Tichenor's face.
As Mark Buehrle threw his warmup pitches, Tichenor squatted behind catcher A.J. Pierzynski at home plate with his mask on, with Guillen yelling in Tichenor's ear.
This marked the first ejection of the season and the 26th of Guillen's career.
Guillen tweeted later: "Today a tough guy show up a yankee stadium."
