I went with Kicker and Defense with my last two picks.
My last skill position player, I drafted my #1 RB's backup.
Kicker or D
But the last position player: Marvin Jones
Waste of picks IMO. I don't draft a D or a kicker (unless there is a penalty for roster moves). Those kickers and Ds are going to be sitting their until right up to the start of the year. You are much better off taking guys like:
Denard/Matt Jones/Artis Payne/Herron/Polk/Helu/Hankerson/Packers WR/Saints WR/Colts WR
A late preseason injury or depth chart change could turn any one of these guys into a must roster fantasy commodity and potential fantasy starter. If in a week Stewart all of a sudden is out with a leg injury, CAP would go from an ADP in the 200s to an ADP in the 80s-100s and wouldn't come cheap off waivers. In many drafts, he can be had for a kickers price tag. If Stewart stays healthy and is a full go for week 1, then just cut CAP loose and add a kicker. What if we get a report in 10 days that Roddy White needs a follow-up surgery or isn't recovering well, Hankerson becomes a valuable commodity. If news comes out that Janis will be assuming the Jordy role for the Pack and is locked in as a starter, you will have a player that is more valuable than many of the guys picked many rounds earlier and will be worth creating a roster spot for. If you draft Saturday afternoon and that night Alf goes down with a serious injury, Matt Jones could be a nice piece to work a trade out with someone that was depending on Alf. If Sunday night, Brandon Coleman goes off for 100 and 2 against the starters, he is worth clearing some roster space for, but he won't come off waivers for cheap especially when you compare that to the cost of just dropping him for a D if he struggles in the week 3 preseason game is 0.
