David Cobb

Lorenzo Taliaferro
Breshad Perriman
Justin Hardy
Marvin Jones

IDP

Stephone Anthony

Sorry....a little late, but ETA: Excluding Kickers and Team Defenses

Kicker or D

But the last position player: Marvin Jones
:goodposting:

Is he really making it to the 17th-18th round in drafts? That's ludicrous IMO. I've only run one real-money draft so far in which I got him for $1 in an auction, but that can correspond to anyone after the 11th-12th round in a snake.

I own him and/or Stedman Bailey in every draft I've been in dating all the way back to February's WSLs. Looks like that trend will continue.

I went with Kicker and Defense with my last two picks.

My last skill position player, I drafted my #1 RB's backup.

Who? not all #1 RBs should be covered up with a hand cuff. I bet you would also find many saying to never handcuff players simply to handcuff them unless you bench is really deep.

Was able to draft Jones in the 16th of 18 last Saturday night

Lucked (I think) into McFadden in a 10-team, 15-rounder last night, but my target going forward would be Stevie Johnson.

Just had the 12th pick in a 12 team standard team last night. My last two picks were Sankey and Hillman (15th and 16th rounds).
Wow. That's really late for both of them.
That was my thought exactly when I was making the picks. My initial plan was to grab Denard Robinson as a handcuff to yeldon--but I thought both Sankey and Hillman had too much value. In general--I really enjoy the latter rounds of drafts this season as I feel like there are lots of guys with potential. Artist-payne, Helu, and even Hankerson could be startable assets at some points this fantasy season.

Mariota. If he runs could be big value b
Agreed. I remember RG3 didn't get drafted in my league his rookie year...and there was a mad scramble for him before week 2. Hoping for something similar.

Great thread idea.
Tyrod Taylor could have a sneaky fantasy year just based on rushing. If he can do something like 700 and 7, then it is very likely he will be a fringe QB1.

Jonas Gray is my go-to right now. Some of the guys you mentioned have to be pretty shallow to grab Quick, Sankey, Cobb, MM (2QB), Stevie Johnson, Helu. All the drafts I've been in have most of them gone by the 14th round.

When there are still games to be played in the pre-season I don't see the point in drafting a kicker. Take an extra RB or WR then swap out your worst guy for K in Week 1.

I've taken Tyrod at the end, and I've taken Malcom Floyd when I've drafted several boom-bust WRs. Also Christine Michael (still have hope)

Waste of picks IMO. I don't draft a D or a kicker (unless there is a penalty for roster moves). Those kickers and Ds are going to be sitting their until right up to the start of the year. You are much better off taking guys like:

Denard/Matt Jones/Artis Payne/Herron/Polk/Helu/Hankerson/Packers WR/Saints WR/Colts WR

A late preseason injury or depth chart change could turn any one of these guys into a must roster fantasy commodity and potential fantasy starter. If in a week Stewart all of a sudden is out with a leg injury, CAP would go from an ADP in the 200s to an ADP in the 80s-100s and wouldn't come cheap off waivers. In many drafts, he can be had for a kickers price tag. If Stewart stays healthy and is a full go for week 1, then just cut CAP loose and add a kicker. What if we get a report in 10 days that Roddy White needs a follow-up surgery or isn't recovering well, Hankerson becomes a valuable commodity. If news comes out that Janis will be assuming the Jordy role for the Pack and is locked in as a starter, you will have a player that is more valuable than many of the guys picked many rounds earlier and will be worth creating a roster spot for. If you draft Saturday afternoon and that night Alf goes down with a serious injury, Matt Jones could be a nice piece to work a trade out with someone that was depending on Alf. If Sunday night, Brandon Coleman goes off for 100 and 2 against the starters, he is worth clearing some roster space for, but he won't come off waivers for cheap especially when you compare that to the cost of just dropping him for a D if he struggles in the week 3 preseason game is 0.

Good insight for leagues that don't penalize for roster moves.

Josh Robinson (keeper or non keeper)

Everyone seems to be ignoring him but this kid is the MJD bowling ball take 2 and in a wonderful position backing up Gore.

Your last pick is a lottery ticket. If Gore goes down, I believe Robinson is a potential top 10 fantasy RB.

Even if Gore does not go down, Indy looks to lock up its division early, so they will start resting Gore weeks 14 on... during fantasy playoffs.

I love Herron's heart, but he does not have the talent to stay ahead of Robinson.

Had my 12 team non ppr last night. I had pick #1, so my last two rounds were basically the same.

Pick 168 - Eddie Royal

Pick 169 - Ronnie Hillman

Royal is the clear #2 for Cutler and Hillman has flex value and wil be a #1 when CJ Anderson breaks down.

With a few of my drafts weeks away from opening day, I have been skipping kicker all together and going with a flier on an addtional WR or RB. In a 10 team, 15 round league I selected McFadden with my last pick.
