Who are your top TE's (1 Viewer)

Witten is way better than Cooley. You're also forgetting about Kellen Winslow Jr. He may be stupid, but he's still extremely talented.
 No way can you say that Witten "way" better than Cooley. Cooley really turned some heads last season, looked very mobile, with good strength and great hands. He had a better year last season than did Witten, and I think the trend continues.Witten

2004 87 980 6

2005 66 757 6

Cooley

2004 37 314 6

2005 71 774 7

Randy McMichael will be a beast with Daunte "Midget Fingers" at the helm.

#1 no, but a good chance at top 3.
Why are people saying this? The highest # of TD's caught by a TE in Minnesota in a year where Daunte started most of the games is . . . 4. That was by Kleinsasser in 2004 when Daunte threw 39 TD's. So 10% of his TD tosses went to a TE. Yes, McMichael's better than the TE's in Minny, and yes Daunte had Moss in Minnesota, but even if you double that TE TD rate, how many TD's can you reasonably expect from McMichael in Miami? 5? 6?

Agreed, but he isn't the only guy to value Witten higher than Cooley. IMO, Witten is a little better, but not if Dallas gets TO.

Real rankings:

1 - Gates

2 - Shockey

3 - Gonzo

4 - Crumpler

5 - Heap

6 - LJ Smith

7 - Cooley

8 - McMichael

9 - Witten

10 - Troupe

11 - Stevens

12 - Miller

not sure what to do withV.Davis. I'll wait until he's on a team to rank him.

I'm a big Cooley fan, but the problem is he wasn't a true TE (rather an H-back), and it remains to be seen how his role changes under Saunders. Maybe it doesn't change, but it's still a question mark.
