Who has a better stat line over the next 8 weeks? (1 Viewer)

Both RBs have been handed the keys to the starting RB spot. IMO, Ballard has a better scheduled going forward, but he also will have to deal with Donald Brown soon (2-3 weeks?). Powell is guaranteed 8 weeks of starting (barring injury).

Thoughts?

Ballard. Better matchups and the fact that Arizona's offensive line is putrid. If Ryan Williams couldn't produce back there I doubt Powell will either.

Ballard does have the nicer schedule and I'd probably rather have him for the immediate future since he plays NYJ, CLE than TEN compared to Powells BUF, SF, MIN. I'd rather have Powell in the long run, though. Ryan Williams was running tentatively and I tend to believe he wasn't lying when he said his knee was still an issue. When Powell touched the ball he looked like the best back in the backfield to me. He's also rather shifty which may allow him to deal with the OL woes a bit better than Wells or Williams ever could. Were going to see this week why Powell was worth rostering in every league.

Don't think either of them will do much damage. I like Powell's talent better so he'd be my pick even though I expect LSH to be the 3rd down back and get a decent amount of touches as well. He also has a nice matchup against the Bills this week too. After that he won't be worth starting against Minny or SF.

I'm not impressed with Ballard at all, IMO he's not any better than Delone Carter. He does have a decent schedule coming up over the next few weeks with NYJ(4th most points allowed to RB's), CLE(11th), TEN(5th), but the Colts are a passing team and their run blocking has been mediocre.

Ballard won't be starting for the next 8 weeks, so my pick would be Powell.
