Who has a bigger impact on their defense? (1 Viewer)

So both these defenses have been struggling this year, last year they were both roughly a top 5 D's fantasy wise, this year they struggle to make top 20.

Both Reed and Sharper could possibly come off the PUP list in Wk 7 and are essential players at their positions.

Which one of these players has a bigger impact on getting their teams back on track?

Unless Sharper plays corner I would say Ed Reed. Jenkins has been solid for the Saints at Free Safety. Having two starting CB's hurt for the Saints is real problem with their secondary adding Sharper wont fix that.

Darren Sharper for sure, its close but the Ravens are successful without Reed, the Saints are barely successful with Sharper.

I guess we must be talking FF turnover points right? The Saints Defense is the reason the Saints are not in worse shape than the already are. Turnovers by the Saints offense has put the Saints defense in some bad situations. If we are talking FF points for a defense then maybe I can see the Sharper logic.

Sorry Ill elaborate. The Saints D as a whole is below average with Vilma, Jenkins and Sharper. Without Sharper its my opinion the Saints would have been 9-7 or worse last year.Fantasy wise they did fine last year because they had so many turnovers, they were in the bottom 10% of every defensive category except for turnovers last year. There are plenty of arguments for why this happened (Teams they were playing against threw the ball the whole game because of the Saints high scoring offense, etc, etc.) Im not up to date on there defense atm, ive heard that vilma is hurt but IDK for sure, I am aware that sharper is still injured though. To me it seems that the Saints are moving more towards a Titans like defense, bring the pass rush because they cant stop the run or pass so they are trying to force turnovers.
