My boss and his boss is both gone tomarrow, count me in for a days off.
Way to not to take an opportunity and turn it into a positive
Can you unpack this sound advice (since you sound familiar with my situation, industry, colleagues, and day to day)?
no bosses = show up in your tightey-whiteys and call everybody sweet-cheeks.

opportunity lost.

:goodposting:

Off tomorrow and Friday for Rosh Hashanah. Have another four day weekend in a couple for Shemini Atcherat and Simchat Torah. Still not sure if the last two are actual holidays.

Not a bank holiday, so no day off here. Wife will be concluding her four day weekend tomorrow, so that's good. If she isn't at work, she can't come home #####y.

Such a sensitive guy aren't you? Not sure why you bother to post, everything leads down the road of you feeling slighted.
Are you a woman? Serious question...

Are you going to send me threatening pms now like you are known to do, or you gonna finally grow some bark?

:lmao: I'd rather PM than fill the board with this garbage that nobody wants to read, it's actually courteous to everyone else

You take a question about a schedule and turn it into an argument. Then you can't even drop it a day later and interject yourself into something from months back where you don't know the history. You can understand why I ask my question above, right?

:pickle:

and off almost all next week.

being an hourly contractor can be great being able to take time off on my schedule and not needing to rely on the Man's schedule.

being an hourly contractor sucks not getting paid to take time off on any schedule.

Awesome if your employer gives you all those days off. I never take off during the holidays. Seems like the perfect time to come in. No one is around so there's very little work to do and you can take off early. I'd rather save the vaca days for when its nice out.

No vacation days, just nobody here... Technically we have tomorrow, Thurs, next Wed, and next Thurs, however most of the office is just WFH on the other days. I'm in digital/tech, fairly common at a lot of companies in my industry... Same kinda thing on Thanksgiving week, most people are just out of the office from like Tuesday until the following Monday. 4 day weekends on Memorial Day and Labor Day, and when July 4th falls on a Wednesday, that is the ultimate HR.

That's a nice arraignment. I have young 2 kids at home and I'm just 15 minutes from work so part of me would rather come in and just hang out. I could really use a couch in my office.

Tomorrow is a regular day for me, but we'll shut it down at lunch and we have Friday off instead of Christmas Eve. We might have 10 in the the office today (tech industry, office is around 135).

Was just at Costco and the parking lot was 100% full. 1:30 in the afternoon. Lots of people with today off apparently.

Off today. Return Monday and Tuesday, then off NYE and NYD. Hoping they decide to close up on Friday the 2nd as well.

I work in retail distribution. The building is pretty empty (everything is in the stores). Out of 300 people, just maintenance and management working on special projects. I spent quite a few years in the stores during Christmas season. Now, I don't think I could go back.
