who is starting Kevin Curtis? (1 Viewer)

I have Curtis, and while he rode the pine for my team during his big week, I did have him in as bye week filler last week. With another good matchup in front of him I am considering starting him, but would have to sit an acknowledged "stud" WR for him. I will leave that name out since I am looking for a broader discussion of his current value, and not a simple WDIS. So have at it. Who is going with White Lightning?

Starting him over Curry.

I put Curry in for Curtis 5min before kickoff last week & it cost me a win. Did the same thing the 3TD week. I am a terrible coach this year...

I am starting Welker and Crayton over Curtis this week. He's competing for the flex spot with Edge, Marvin and Faulk.

I may sit Marvin for him. Coin flip for me.
really? That I believe is a little further than I am prepared to go. KC has had one great and one good game. I like him, but not that much.
It's a tough call but I'm afraid he may be limited due to the knee.
wow... has it come to this for Marv
not if he's healthy and Curtis has been good/great and is currently ranked 7th in my league so it's not as if you're starting a scrub. I might be making the same call if I had Holt, Boldin, Fitz, Colston, etc.

The thing that bothers me about Curtis is that he struggles getting off the line against physical corners. I'd check the Bears injury report. Having said that, I can start 3-4 WRs, and TEs count as WRs in my league. I'm sitting Curtis this week in favor of T.J. Houshmandzadeh, Galloway, Welker, and Jason Witten.

Hope that helps.

The key is if Nathan Vasher is out again this week. After AP burned the Bears so badly last week, he's a good call as I think they'll sell out to ensure Westbrook doesn't do the same.

As long as Vasher is out, definitely should be a good bet.

I'm not really starting him "over" anyone. With Edwards on bye and Walker going under the knife that leaves me with Crayton and Curtis. Oh, wait, I could also start Devery Henderson, but I wouldn't say I'm starting Curtis over HEnderson....

KFFL has reported him being out this week.

Unless your team is totally stacked at WR, Curtis should be an every week starter.
I'm not so sure about this. The guy is a high risk/high reward kind of player. So far this year he's had two really big weeks and three really quiet weeks. I think you play him situationally depending on whether you can risk the low number he may well score in order to try and cash in on the big numbers he may or may not put up. I don't think he's an automatic starter at this point. The Eagles still depend heavily on Westbrook, and if he's getting it done, they usually stick with that. :scared:

Thursday's practice update

The Bears are getting healthier. DT Tommie Harris (hamstring) returned to practice at Halas Hall, leaving CB Nathan Vasher as the only player to sit out.

me too. Curtis is a nice choice to have, but I don't believe he's an every week starter, at least not for me.

Curtis has over taken Reggie as McNabb's #1... hes leading the team in targets and nearly has doubled the amount of recieving yds than the next guy.

Curtis will not be on BN anytime soon.

in non-ppr leagues Curtis has scored:52402bye18That's one amazing week and one good week to go along with 3 crappy weeks.

He's turnd into my #1 in my dynasty league with full IDP. :lmao:

I didn't need any of his points the week he blew up. I've started him every week, except the bye, and yes my WR's are really that bad.

not too mention that hes next too Chad Johnson and is ahead of TO on that list... the position is naturally inconsistent... but I'm not sitting a guy whoes currently in the top 10 of that position...

Am starting Owens, Wayne, and Curtis and benching Harrison. It going to be hard to bench Harrison but i think one more week to heal or show me he is well this week

Considering him over MB3 vs. the Vikes. Never thought I'd say that.
I'm starting him over Barber and I'm pretty comfortable with it. MB3 has been crap the last 3 weeks, and Minny hasn't been giving up #### to the run.

Keep in mind that McNabb will need the time to get the ball to him to begin with.
I currently have him in my startin lineup (over Welker, S Moss, and Evans), but I have the same concerns. Philly did great against Lions and Jets...two teams with crap d-lines, but they struggled like crazy against Giants who put pressure on McNabb. While Westbrook is now back, the Bears should be able to put the pressure on McNabb. Are there any reasons why the philly o-line should do a better job against the bears? Any injured players that are now back on the line? Or is Westbrook the big difference?

I am starting him every week in the 2 leagues that I have him. Over Coles, Berrian, Brandon Marshall, and David Bowe. I have no problem starting him. I think his crappy games came at the beginning of the year when McNabb was actually having a problem throwing accurate passes to him or the game where Philly had 12 sacks. I don't see Philly getting abused like that again and I actually think he is a better play with Westbrook in the game since teams have to respect the run and can't just pin their ears back and rush the passer. Chubbs loves to throw the ball and I don't see that changing this season.

Thomas was out against the Giants, he came back last week . . . Buckhalter had a good day against the Giants as well . . .
