Who is the best kicker in the NFL, all things being equal? (1 Viewer)

When I say "all things being equal" I mean imagine if somehow all 32 kickers had to kick all 16 games in the exact same elements (we'll go with a dome to make it easy) and that all 32 kickers play on a team with the exact same offensive personnel.

Now it just comes down to who you want to kick for you.

Distance-wise, I think we all could agree on Janikowski. But he can be streaky with accuracy.

Some other kickers I think are really solid are Gould, Akers and Hanson (even at his age).

What say you?

Wouldn't call him the best right now, but a guy to watch....Alex Henery in Philly. Second best rookie % all time last year, decent leg. If you want a young guy for a brand new team, certainly worth considering.

ETA: Based strictly on your parameters...would go with Robbie Gould. Consistantly hits around 85% despite half his attempts coming in Chicago.

He does not have a strong leg at all. Maybe accurate but not strong. My vote would go to Bironas. He's got a monster leg and accuracy but his offense hasn't been affording him a ton of looks so he flys under the radar a bit.

Oh, by the way, that Rams kicker Greg Zeurlein that I posted about above made a 55 and 52 yard field goal so far in tonight's game vs. the Cowboys. :welcome:
