Those that are terribly inconsistent...and drive you crazy....

It has to be RB Chris Johnson of the Tennessee Titans for me.

Others?

Desean Jackson has to top this list. Pierre Garcon is also under consideration.
Jackson is in the mold (but better) than guys like Henderson and Evans. In the beginning, I thought he was a lucky, gimmicky player, but he actually was quite consistent (though in a very unconventional way...with punt return TDs usually bailing out a bad day). This year may be a "punt", but I am really curious what he does in 2012...if it is the same, we may have seen the best Ashley Leile to ever play the game.

Aaaaargghh! memories of last year's playoffs ... first round ... this was VJax third game back, he went 2/29 in the previous two.BUT ... then ...Thursday night game vs San Fran (and my fantasy squad): 5/112/3. :wall: :wall: :wall: Never recovered :X

Charles Johnson has had a sack in 8 of 13 games. Your not going to get much more consistency than that out of a DE.
I think he means Calvin Johnson. ;)
Or Chris Johnson ;) Saying C. Johnson is almost the same as saying "You know that guy on that team who plays that position"On Topic: Finley and Vjax were the first to come to mind. Ray Rice also, I don't own either of them just observations.

Vjax and CJ, somehow I'm lucky enough to be winning and in the playoffs with both on my team, but it's painful to know that they both could have a stinker at any time and if they both do in the same week, I could be out of it. QB: Phil RiversRB: CJohnsonWR: Victor Cruz or VJaxTE: FinleyPK: CundiffDL: Jason Babin (although most DEs are inconsistent)LB: London FletcherDB: almost all corners

Calvin's stats have fallen off, but he was a machine the first half of the season - can't expect that every week.

Lee Evans used to be the poster child for this. I would agree on Finley for this year.

Re: Vincent Jackson would like to add that the match up doesn't seem to matter. He'll go off against Champ Bailey one week and then disappear against a soft secondary the next.

He is true fantasy roller coaster. If you own him the only choice is to start him every week and ride it the @#$! out!

That's actually not really true. His has performed poorly against every good CB he's faced this season, while blowing up against the weaker competition. I traded him away because of his inconsistency, but he hasn't been the toughest person to project this year.

I went back and looked at the game logs and realized that you're absolutely right. In the heat of wanting to contribute to this post I neglected to take a moment, do some research, weigh the facts in my mind and THEN come to a conclusion.I apologize for my haste and promise not to make the same mistake again.

Deion Branch. I forget this guy still plays football, then he'll blow up for 150/2 every few weeks. L. Blount and Beanie Wells come to mind as well, I haven't looked up their weekly stats but it seems like they'll have a 20yd rushing day followed by a 120.

No worries. It's a common mistake this season, and one that I didn't even notice until after I traded him away. Being easier to predict doesn't change how frustrating he is though.

Another vote for Vjax. You can't bench the guy bc right when you do, he will put up 30 pts. It's almost as though he is motivated every other week. So frustrating... and my 2nd rd pick.

:goodposting: I owned the guy in 2007. It was the one and only time I ever had to deal with that headache. Since then, I've just laughed at others pain.

I probably started him about 9 times that season. And only had one good game in those nine. About 2-3 ok games and the rest were garbage.

This year: Eric Decker. When he was taking passes from Orton, he was hit or miss. Now with Tebow, he's smaller hit, or again, miss.

Eli Manning.

Can't get comfortable with the guy. I give up on him and he hangs a 30 spot. Put him in the lineup and get 15 points. Very frustrating trying to play QBBC with him.

WR: Victor Cruz
Huh? He has over 80 yards in 9 of 10 games since his breakout in week 3. He was only 12 total yards from having 8 games out of the last 10 over 100 yards. How is that anywhere near an all or nothing player?

3 games of less than 20 yards, but they were early.
Two were in weeks 1 and 2, long before anyone would have considered starting him or even had him on their team.
