Who is this years John Carlson? (1 Viewer)

Touchdown There

Footballguy
Remember John Carlson's week 1 breakout game in 2009? Most Carlson owners did not start him week 1 but then thought they had a gem and started him when he went below average. Killed fantasy owners.

For some reason, when deciding whether or not to put any FAAB bucks into Mark Clayton this popped into my mind. Is he this years John Carlson? Bradford seems pretty cool under fire.

I would say that the WR in Denver could quite possibly disappoint if anyone spent a high waiver priority on him.

Also, at the TE position I would say that Marcedes Lewis will definitely not get 2 TDs in a game this season...

Best

Forte

Collie

Clayton

are all potential candidates imo.

Tomlinson didn't even have a big game. Nice pick with lewis - didn't think of him.

Had a good, albeit not a huge game, and I would guess that in the run-oriented offense that his performance will be uneven at best.

You are crazy to include Shiancoe on this list. The guy is a consistent red zone threat who is probably the only guy Favre truly trusts at this moment so he will have a huge year, easily top 10 probably top 5.

Why is it crazy? What happens IF Vincent Jackson joins that team. He had ~ 500 yards receiving last year and he's already gotten 70+ yards. How many times did he top 70 yards last year? Twice.

That was last year...I think Shiancoe is going to keep getting his targets.....and not just in the red zone. The Vikings are going to have to establish some kind of passing attack to keep defenses from focusing on AP.....and Shiancoe is going to be a big part of that.....imho.

Best? He was pretty disappointing in week 1
No. He really wasn't. His 2 TD's made him around the #6 RB according to my league scoring.
so you're projecting him to score 32 TDs this year? Because his 30-ish total yards was pretty disappointing. The 2 Tds just saved his owners from a complete disaster
