My wife's parents are coming up on 53. Coincidentally they have been married about 6 months longer than she has been alive. She is the oldest. My wife can be charmingly naive at times, I had to help her with the math. It had never occurred to her. Still shotgun wedding or not 53 years ain't messing around.

 
Oddity in our family. This year was our 25th, it will be my parent's 50th and would have been my maternal grandparent's 75th. My oldest son is getting married this August so the 25 year pattern continues for at least another generation.

June 17th will be our 15th Anniversary. My parents just celebrated their 45th. My maternal Grandparents fell just short of their 60th by about 6 months. My paternal grandparents made it to I think 51/52 years. My wife's paternal grandparents just celebrated 67 years last November.

 
Married a month after meeting. Will be 16 years this August.

That decision worked out pretty well.

Their anniversary is 6 months before my birthday

Lots of "Love you long time" people here. Congrats to all of you, whether it's 1 or 100 years. Marriage isn't always easy, but it's definitely the best choice I ever made. Out kicked my coverage in everything.

 
How you clowns ever landed a woman much less had her stay with you this long is mind boggling to me...

Been together for 18, married 11. We've known each other our entire lives. Our moms were best friends, so we have pics of me watching her in the tub when she was 2 (I was 4). :homersignal:

I'm seeing a few comments like this. My parents celebrated their 50th in December. My older sister turns 50 this month. They say she was a car accident. :thumbup:

 
If still with my first wife, would be 23 years this week.

As it stands, just celebrated 9 years with the second wife. One of those things were looking back it makes a lot of sense. Much happier now than I ever was in my first marriage.

It's the opposite for me

First marriage: A mistake.

Second marriage: God Hates Me!

Have not seen ex#1 in nearly 25 years, but I still call her on her birthday and tell her "you weren't so bad after after all."

 
4 years. Dated 4 years before we got married. Proposed a month into dating. While still early compared to others (much younger than the average poster), like others have said, best decision.

Our 30th anniversary is in 19 days. I've heard they actually expect some kind of gift or something for that. I got her a pressure washer for mothers day, Thinking maybe a nice chainsaw should do for this. Kinda worried about a pine tree leaning towards the house.
