Who's gonna play WR in Indy? (1 Viewer)

Its an interesting question right now - although redrafters can probably go do something else

For dynasty, stealing a march on a guy for the season after this might have some value, especially in deep roster leagues.

They have4 to sign someone - right?

Brandon Lloyd and Robert Meachem are still available as cheaper options than the guys they had. I could see them signing one of them or a comparable second or third tier FA, and drafting a WR in the third round maybe.

That's what I was thinking, along with Mario, but so far no reports. Amazing that they're blowing it up completely and may not have a single viable weapon for Luck.

No, he's a FA and they've already said they won't re-sign him.Collie, Blair White as of now. Possibly Jeremy Ross. 2nd round draft pick likely (I really hope they use this on TE Fleener, Luck's guy at Stanford). One of the FA guys out there who won't cost $8 mil.

Hard to know what the plan is in Indy, other than that it's a total rebuild. My guess is that Grigson/Pagano go with the traditional inside-out method and build up the defense and run game first, then add WR's. I think it will be ugly at WR this year. Collie and a couple of bargain vets (e.g., Cotchery, Doucet), with a one or two mid- to late-round rookie picks mixed in.

Yeah, I was thinking of guys along that line, or maybe even someone like Lee Evans, Sims-Walker or Schillens (I think they're all FAs?).

Someone will emerge down the road there, and could be dynasty gold with Luck throwing him the ball.
Yeah. My initial thinking was this team is going to be Jacksonville North this year with a defensive coach running the show with no offense. But I'm sure it will straighten out. Sure makes it interesting for fantasy. I mean, how does it impact Luck's value if they wind up with a lot of nothing OR how does it help if they get some guys that aren't highly talked about and they draft them? I would have to think that it will inflate those WRs values just because people will think Luck will bring them around in time.

I'm a believer in Austin Collie. I think he has WR1 (NFL) potential, and top level WR2 fantasy potential.

Keep manning, resign everyone, trade down from 1.01 for a bevy of picks, and the colts contend for the next 3-4 years. Risky? Yes. But so is banking the entire franchise on Luck. No qb in history has walked into this much pressure.

Sorry Colts fans. You guys are going to be irrelevant for the next 5 years...ie...see Browns, Raiders, Bills.
It's a QB league. Except for "Purple Drank" JaMarcus, none of those teams had a #1 draft pick QB.
I think it would be great if Indy overturned their whole team and then on draft day Luck is like, "I'm not playing for you guys, you have nothing, and what's with the owner's tweets?"

They will tank this year. Let Luck learn the NFL. Next year, with the 1 or 2 draft pick, they pull a Rams and trade for great picks, where they can get #1 WR's and solidify the o-line.
