Had an incredible rookie season. Second season he had a shoulder injury plus fumblitis. Kubiak eventually cut him in his 3rd year. Never really got back to form.

We did have one guy play for the Chiefs probably 25 years ago, and the current long-snapper for the Broncos...i think probably the only NFL guys we have had.

Matt Campbell, the Iowa State football coach is literally the only actual notable alumnus of my high school.
Simi Valley HS. I played against MacLean as I was at Newbury Park HS.

MacLean was way ahead of me. I was in grade school. I blew out my knee before playing real HS basketball (was in our 9th grade summer league as where I had to quit) but the team I disliked the most in club basketball (Vikings) was Newbury Park. I am pretty sure I fouled out every game against them. lol
I was a sophomore when MacLean was a senior so didn't much time against him. I never played club basketball so don't really know anything about the Vikings. My sister was 4 yrs younger than me so I may know some of those guys you didn't like...hahahaha

The Christian Rock band Thousand Foot Krutch also formed at my school.
It was just a regular public school, despite two of the three most famous people to come out of it being super religious.
