Why are you holding on to Tavaris Jackson? (1 Viewer)

Do you feel he's worth a roster spot in dynasty leagues? Or would he be wasting a roster spot that could be used on a more viable prospect? I think this might be the last year for Favre (we can only hope), but will the Vikings go after McNabb, Kolb, or Vick? Do the Vikings view Jackson as a starting QB in the NFL? Will Childress get fired, which takes Jackson's future with the Vikings with him?

How could they go after McNabb?
I read somewhere that the contract he signed recently is setup where the Redskins can cut him without having to pay him anything. Maybe someone else can chime in that knows more about it than I do.

I think he gets a shot at a job somewhere next year. He's arguably better than anything in Carolina, Arizona or even San Francisco. One can even make the argument that he gives you more upside than Favre at this point. A lot depends on league requirements and roster sizes but I think he's worth a roster spot in deeper leagues.

This is correct. They have until from March 1 to week 1 of next season to pay his $10M option bonus for 2011 (they could just cut him and pay virtually nothing). Sounds like a pretty bad contract for McNabb from what I've read. The 'Skins really hold all the cards. They can handle the situation in a number of different ways depending on how the rest of the season plays out. That said, I've been holding onto TJack this season because I think he has handled the Favre situation very well the past few years and has likely learned a good deal playing behind Favre. He has always had the physical tools to do well, but has struggled greatly with poor decision making and inconsistently. I think he has a good chance to do some good things if given the chance.Chilly has stood by Jackson since he drafted him. If Chilly is somehow still around in 2011 I think it's likely Jackson will be his starting QB. If he's gone then who knows how the new HC will want to handle the situation? IMO Jackson is worth holding onto if you have a deep roster to see how things play out.

Do you think Favre has played his last game? Is the 2011 Vikings starting QB currently on their roster?
