Why do people hate Andy Dalton so much? (1 Viewer)

Serious question? My Twitter timeline has tweets for 3 days talking about Andy Dalton after his horrible performance last week.

This week he throws 3 tds, and goes on the road and outplays Drew Brees. I saw one positive tweet.

Why can't people give Dalton any credit? He has a lot to prove in the postseason, but this is a guy who has had a lot of good games.

Also, sometimes players do improve.

Anyway, I give credit to Dalton for a huge win on the road. Nice job Andy. The football world left you for dead.

It's because When Dalton's good he's just above average when he's bad he looks like the worst QB in the league. It doesn't help that his bad happens in the playoffs and nationally televised games.

I get it. You continually blow it in big spots and you get slammed. But from reading tweets last week you'd think he was the worst qb to ever play in the league.

He had a historically bad game last week and you don't get why it was such a hot topic? Really?

I think he gets a lot more flack than a guy like Kaepernick, Ryan, Stafford, Palmer, etc would.

For some reason people just love to hate some guys. Guys like Dalton and Cutler take way more flack for bad games than those other guys do.

I don't agree with this in the least.

Andy Dalton has a higher career QB rating, higher career completion percentage, higher career TD:INT ratio, and equivalent career YPA to Matthew Stafford. Yet most consider Dalton one of the worst starting QBs in the league and Stafford one of the better ones.

No they don't.

Yeah, that's never been my impression either.
