Watching the Texans-Saints Monday night game.  Saints intercept a deep attempt and Hopkins is the only Texan near it.  Saint back holding ball and Hopkins grabs him and body slams him down.  How is that illegal?  Guy Was still on his feet and if he shook Hopkins off he could have gone a long way back.  And heck, defensive backs tee off on Hopkins regularly.  

And no I don't own Hopkins in my league.  No skin in it just wondering when it became illegal to tackle.

I admit I don't watch a lot of football,  But when did it become illegal to lift a struggling ball carrier and slam him to the turf?  Was there an actual rule change I missed?
