***Wild Card Game Thread*** - Baltimore at Kansas City (1 Viewer)

Apropos of nothing, James Brown (the CBS host, not the rock-and-roll legend) is one of the nicest "celebs" I've ever met. He gets trashed alot as "too nice", but I think it's a sad world when someone can be described as such. In any case, he's just like he comes across on TV. He's a fine man and I'm glad he's made his name in a business that all too often rewards snottiness. And a bit of trivia - he played on the DeMatha hoops team that beat Power Memorial (with Lew Alcindor - aka Kareen Abdul Jabbar).

I thought the Ravens would have come out running the ball, but they threw it more than running it. I haven't seen many Ravens games this season, so I just may be late to the realization that the Ravens are now a throwing team. Perhaps the fact they couldnt pound it in when they had first and goal from the one and end up getting a field goal symbolizes that.

I wouldn't read too much into that. Flacco fumbling the snap on first down completely changed that entire goal line series.

I wonder if the Chiefs will figure out that giving Charles 2/3 of the carries would be in their best interest??

Haley trying to outsmart the Ravens by coming out throwing, but relying on the running game is the key to success. If they can't throw it early, it will make running that much tougher later. You have the best running game in the league. Freaking use it.

Even so, they moved the ball on the Chiefs by throwing it rather than running it, lots of crossing routes by Boldin and Heap.

I'm drafting Charles with the first pick next year

A man among children
