Well, Chargers were the better team for 28 minutes. Then the last 2 the Texans got a TD and a FG. Disconcerting for the Chargers, but still fully expect them to win.

Both, but especially the latter. Texans sold out for the pass. A run up the middle would have gotten 2-3 before the RB was touched. Just like the play before the Texans were sold out on the run. Great play calling by Ryans, and poor by Roman.

I'm fairly comfortable placing the blame squarely on Quentin Johnston. He's awful.

Looking at it again, I think Herbert deserves some blame for looking there. There's no way there wasn't a better matchup than Johnston vs Stingley.

I am sure that was the call, and the play is designed to go to QJ. Poor play design, poor job not getting out of it at the line by Herbert when he sees Stingley across from QJ, poor job by QJ not getting pass the sticks on his route. Pretty much everyone failed at their job there.
