**Wildcard Sunday - Packers at Eagles**(-5, 46) 4:30 FOX (2 Viewers)

I think the Eagles should win this game. They have the advantage talent and health-wise.

The things that worry me about Green Bay:

1. Their D plays cover 2, especially disguised cover-2 off sim pressure. That’s like Jalen’s kryptonite. He is, by far, the worst QB statistically when he has to call the protections and account for sim pressure and then make the right read when Safeties or CBs drop back.

2. The Pack’s D is soft over the middle of the field, strong on the boundaries. Jalen has gotten a little better at hitting the middle of the field, but still not his favorite place to throw. I personally think he has trouble seeing the middle of the field well because the Oline are so tall.

3. Jordan Love is a tremendous athlete with a lot of poise. No real superstar receivers, but solid, serviceable guys that fill their roles. At TE Kraft is awesome and could give us fits, and having Mushrave come back might be big for them.

All it takes is one game- a couple turnovers, a great game by Love, GBP putting the Eagles in a spot where they have to throw and they can run the ball to kill clock. Looking forward to this as one of the better games this week.

Go Birds! 🦅

Jordan love is hurt more than they saying
Yeah, we’ll see Sunday. It might just be gamesmanship closing practice.

I’m not scared of this team- I think the Eagles should win. But, it’s playoffs now, and I’m not sleeping on them. They are arguably the best 7 seed in recent history. And Love had some nice playoff games as a rookie.
Love was not a rookie last year. First time in playoffs but, not a rookie.

They were 7 last year. I think they were better going in last year. Vs them boys

Just want to point out that Packer fans aren’t taking shots at the Eagles, rather most seem to think we will lose handily.
Out of curiosity, are Eagles fans taking shots at the Packers? I haven't seen anyone do that. I personally am pretty confident in this squad but the combination of Jalen rust, potential AJ knee issues, GB defense, Jake Elliot's foot, any-given-Sunday all make me pucker up a little bit.

There is always someone trying to call an Eagles fan out on a phantom whatever on here lol. Good luck to your Bucs vs the rookie QB guy.

As far as our game, I think we win. Stop their run and its lights out. If they run "all over us" somehow, we will probably lose the game. Also if we lose the turnover battle, we will probably lose the game.

1. Stop the run
2. Be able to run aka feed Saquon
3. Play clean football

This is one of those games where we win with Hurts passing for 112 yards if it has to be.

I think Jalen Carter and to a lesser extent Jordan Davis are going to be the difference here. If they can contain Jacobs and Carter can disrupt Jordan Love, we should be able to play our game on offense.

I know GB has a really good tackle TOM, but I believe their center is a backup? And not very good? I expect Jalen Carter to eat his soul if that is the case.

Not at all. These two franchises generally respect each other and games are usually competitive. I don’t want the football gods thinking Packer fans are talking trash in here for karma reasons. ;)

I see. You’re not going full @ChiefD talking about how we’re going to crush your team, but maybe like 40% of that tactic. Fair.

No idea what you mean. Who is this Chief character?

Packers are ranked higher in DVOA than Philly. They appear to be contenders on paper. Is the reason so many are on Philly because they are banged up? Who else is out besides Watson?

Love is hurt. gb has generally looked bad the last couple games. Like 2-5 vs good teams on the year

Most of the Eagles fans here are decent. There are only one or two blowhards who enjoy trolling.

The one thing I can truthfully say even as a hated rival fan, they (Eagle’s fans) know ball. I respect any fan who can talk ball and know what they are actually looking at. Not just throwing out cliches and such.

Handicapping this game:

I think there is no worse match up on paper than the Eagles for the Packers.
Good against the run
They run the ball well.
Corners won’t give deep shots

I see GB staying in the game until early 4th quarter. Philly burries them in the 4th. Barkley goes off.

He was definitely talking about you! ;)

Much like Ravens/Steelers, this screams blowout to me. This might be even more lopsided. I can't see the Packers offense doing much in this one, and I can't see the Packers really stopping the Eagles offense.

They played in week 1, and I feel like Philly is a FAR better team than they were at that time, Green Bay, not so much.

I think GB is especially going to have problems with DeVonta Smith, as slot WRs have been a huge issue for GB, not that they'll be able to stop AJ Brown either, but Smith could explode. Not worried about Hurts at all, though I think volume is still low, as Barkley has consistent rushing success, the Eagles OL should push GB around.

Eagles-34
Packers-13, that's probably with a garbage time score.

There are some questions on defense but we know there are no excuses in the NFL in January. Jaire Alexander is their only good coverage corner but he’s missed the last 5 or 6 games so won’t exactly be missed. They have a couple linebackers - Walker and Williams - who’ve not played the past few weeks and will be sorely missed if they can’t go tomorrow. The injury report really isn’t all that bad for the Packers under the circumstances.

The main thing about the Packers is they are really a year or two away. Last season was supposed to be a rebuild but they ended up having a bit of success at the end. This season they haven’t shown much improvement. They are young and play like a young team - lots of mistakes and rarely play a good complete 60 minute game.

Line @ -5 seems very trappy. GB hasn’t looked right in a month. This game screams 14 point Philly win to me, but the fact that the line hasn’t moved in that direction gives me pause.

Line opened at 3. Draftkings currently has the line at 5.5. Line has moved 2.5 points. That's a lot.

I was thinking the same thing.....I look at lines posted in weekly FBG articles for fantasy purposes but I never notice a slight change either direction. This movement was noticeable because it coincided with the news of Hurts clearing concussion protocol. Actually, I thought it might have made a larger jump as the original line seemed too low for a home playoff game, all things considered. Still, a good bump.

Wow I didn’t realize that. 3 is essentially saying it’s an even game on a neutral field. Seems crazy

I believe the reason it opened that low was because Hurts was still in the protocol

I still think the line is going to jump in the next 24 hours to around 6. Something like 85% of the money is on the birds to win and 70% to cover right now.

Zero idea why anybody would pick the Pack in this game. Totally irrational.
Packers are capable of beating the Eagles IF they put it all together. They have not put it all together all season.

Not only do the Packers have to "put it all together", the Eagles have to play below what they're capable of. If both teams bring their A game, I don't think GB can win.
Packers literally have no chance here. I fully expect an Eagles blow out. 31-10ish. They just don’t have the coaching to win big games. LaFleur ****s the bed every. single. time. Panic city.
