If he were a professional ninja, instead of a professional football player, he couldn't have timed and orchestrated a perfect sprinting, leaping front kick to a moving target's head wearing full head-to-toe protective gear.Should get fined, but I don't think it was in his head to boot the guy. Looked to me like he was going to try and hurdle the guy, got caught in the air and reacted.
Had a guy like Brandon Merriweather kicked someone in the face, he might be looking at 8 games.
This must be a Browns fan.Should be suspended for the whole year and required to take anger management classes. Classless play.
If you look closely at the video, you can see clear evidence of a second foot.I've mostly avoided this thread, but it is hilarious listening to armchair Jim Garrison's looking at the film ("His foot moved back, and to the left") for evidence that a kick was intentional.![]()
My thought when I saw it: Who does he think he is, Michael Jordan? It you watch it in slow motion Brown was going to hurdle the punter but took off one stride too early or he would have cleared him with ease. Combined with the punter going down into a submissive position instead of trying to tackle Brown there should not even been a penalty called.
It hasn't even been 24 hours yet!Pretty dissapointed Goodell hasn't issued any further punishment on this.
I get he will have his hands tied with the Rice stuff again but Brown should not be in uniform this weekend
I've watched hundreds of Antonio Brown games and practices. It hasn't even been 24 hours yet!Pretty dissapointed Goodell hasn't issued any further punishment on this.

There is no way to know if it was intentional and Brown has zero history of unsportsmanship conduct. My guess is that he gets a fine but with Goodell you never know -- he might not get any further action to a multiple week suspension.
Why would Goodell punish him? It sure looked to me like Antonio leaped too soon, and it was an accident. Even the guy he came down on thinks the same thing.Pretty dissapointed Goodell hasn't issued any further punishment on this.

I know you post this in jest, but my kids take Kung Fu lessons; that was a classic front kick. No doubt he knew what he was doing.Sweet Chin music by the kung fu fighter.

I have seen him hurdle players at a higher distance.
His combine vertical jump was 33.5". When you factor in a running start he could easily clear 4'
I expect Goodell to piggyback on the domestic abuse issues of Ray Rice and come down hard on Brown trying to intentionally hurt a fellow player.
I expect Goodell to give Brown the punishment he should have given Rice....That's ridiculous. The two incidents have nothing to do with each other.I've watched hundreds of Antonio Brown games and practices. It hasn't even been 24 hours yet!Pretty dissapointed Goodell hasn't issued any further punishment on this.

as a steeler fan I'd be surprised if he isnt suspended for atleast one game. Seemed like such a strange play.I know you post this in jest, but my kids take Kung Fu lessons; that was a classic front kick. No doubt he knew what he was doing.Sweet Chin music by the kung fu fighter.
i had to look up what they called, like what penalty covers that?Mike Pereira -- (Former Vice President of Officiating in the National Football League. Current Rules Analyst at FOX Sports)

"For those asking more about the Brown video, it's so unusual I'm surprised they even called it let alone ejecting him. He wont be suspended."

illegal foot to the face?
The only thing he was guilty of is letting the kicker prevent a TD.B-Deep said:i had to look up what they called, like what penalty covers that?AhrnCityPahnder said:Mike Pereira -- (Former Vice President of Officiating in the National Football League. Current Rules Analyst at FOX Sports)

I was hinting toward the other event from today that's gathered all the attention.3C said:Got quiet in here all of a sudden.![]()
Not really much to talk about. A little wishful thinking being bandied about by those who dislike PIT for whatever reason, but there's no legs to this.
He is also guilty of displaying one of the most bizarre leaps in NFL history. The only thing he was guilty of is letting the kicker prevent a TD.B-Deep said:i had to look up what they called, like what penalty covers that?AhrnCityPahnder said:Mike Pereira -- (Former Vice President of Officiating in the National Football League.
