Will Thomas Jones still get the lions share of the carries? (1 Viewer)

Blah, Blah, Blah...leave it to us Chicago fans to ##### up a storm even when we're 7-0! Who gives a #### what Benson can and can't do. I agree that while winning 41-3 you could've taken a longer look at your precious, little first round pick, but those aren't our decisions. I have to ask why are we so curious as to what Benson can do??? Do we want to know that he can back up TJ if he gets hurt? Do we want to make sure that if TJ starts to stink up the joint Benson will be ready? Or are we concerned about "next year"...what will TJ or Benson's trade value be worth? Screw next year. I want a damn Championship!!! It's been 20 YEARS! I don't want to know what Benson is worth, because if you give a Chicago sport's team owner an inch they'll take a mile. They'll sit in their plush offices and devise ways to trade away talent..."Let's trade TJ now that we know Benson can do the job, ohh, ohh, let's also see if we can package him with Mush for a draft pick." If you're a Chicago fan and know the organization, you know this will happen, and we'll be back to the days of having a great defense and an offense that is "just missing something". Rex calls TJ the "emotional leader of the offense"...you can't put a number on that. Lovie calls him "the smartest player out there"...you don't bench that, especially for a cry baby-rookie hold out, no matter what the score is. So you can continue to rag up a storm about Benson, he's probably sitting on your roster somewhere too, or we can finaly began ranting about the only position in the Bear's organization that is non-existent and needs to be brought back to life...The Chicago Honeybears.

There has to be something more here. Benson is pissing off the wrong people at the wrong times. Benson should have gotten at least 15 carries yesterday, but he didn't. Lovie is not about stats, so giving the ball to TJ in garbage had to mean something else is going on.
What are the odds that Cedric Benson stays in Chicago when he eventually becomes a FA? A lot of the BS aimed at him by the Chicago media is unwarrented. Yes, Benson made a couple of mistakes, like hold out (TJ doesn't show up and it's cool), leave the sidelines once (TJ belly aches and it's cool), see what I mean Vern?

Benson just isn't a very good RB in the NFL at this point.
Solid analysis.
WOW! Benson really grabbed that starting job by the throat this past week huh. What a pitiful performance by Benson not only this game but the last year and a half. ANYONE who brings up this busters name about the starting job in the near future should be shot in the head as they don't have a clue about football. Man I wish you Benson backing chumps were in my big money football leagues because if your blind to this situation, you must be blind to a whole lot of others as well. Just to set some of you guys straight: Romo will be the starting QB from here on out and Addai is the man in Indy as both have done way more this year than Benson has done in a year and a half. Your only hope is an injury. SO why don't you give it a rest and come back when Benson actually gets 10 plus carries in a tight meaningful game because these threads are getting way too old.
:lmao:

Yea...but we don't know if #### is still going on with him. Again, he should have gotten more carries yesterday but didn't. Why? Lovie Smith is a smart guy. 10 out of 10 people would have guessed that Benson got at least 15 carries yesterday when they saw the 41-0 halftime score, right? So why didn't he? What else is going on that we don't know? That is the big question.

A very good question. It smells of something I guess.

Yes busters as in bust. Complete failure. Can't live up to the hype. As in a crybaby running back who has been outplayed by someone else and only gets 8 carries in a 41-0 blowout at halftime.
