You need about 690 PAs out of your leadoff slot and about 20 less for each successive spot in the order. Can one of the WIS veterans say how many:
a. total PAs we should have at each position
900-950, but you have to pay attention to the IP/Gb. total IPs we should have for our SPs
500 or thereabouts.WIS gives everybody a 10% boost over their real-life IP & PAsc. total IPs we should have for our RPs
C - 1 player, 502 PAs; solid1B - 1 player, 584 PAs; solid2B - 1 player, 469 PAs; ok3B - 1 player, 326 PAs; not goodSS/backup 2B/3B - 4 players, 1079 PAs, most of them awful... (Tejada/Furcal at SS, Schumacher at 3B occassionally)Jorge Posada (1B/2B/hopefully C) - 354 ok PAs with decent hitting (it'll help!)1B/OF - 1 player, 274 good PAsOF - 3 players, 1535 PAs, all very good (Crisp, Braun, Willingham)I think I'm ok with PAs... I might be starting Jorge Posada at 2B a couple times, but I'll make it... lolYou need about 690 PAs out of your leadoff slot and about 20 less for each successive spot in the order.

Long time, no see. When does the next draft start? How about a wis reunion draft, the original wis'ers

1. No. I took him high in a FBB draft and was disappointed.2-3. I thought all those guys retired. Now that the season is pretty much over, I'd like to ask a few things of the fantasy-baseball playing house:1) Did the FBB community know before the season that Joe Mauer would miss 65+ games? Fantasy magazine I bought went to press in December or January, I think, and didn't even mention a health risk of any type.2) Did the FBB community expect that Jason Kendall wouldn't play AT ALL in 2011?3) Did the FBB community expect that Troy Glaus and Billy Wagner would at no point in 2011 play MLB?4) Did the FBB community know that Magglio Ordonez was WAY past done? Seems like he was very good very recently ... but years run together in my head. 2005-2009 was like a big blur.5) That James Loney was prone to 40-game slumps?6) That Dayan Viciedo and Devin Mesoraco would have to wait until September to get called up?7) That David DeJesus wouldn't break .235 BA?Just seems like I stepped into so many piles of dog-schmidt while assembling this team. Wish I would have been more knowledgeable and had a better "Spidey sense" for this stuff like I do for fantasy football. At my first pick, 1.15, I was evaluating Mauer vs Jose Bautista. My FBB magazine HATED Bautista ... I think they projected him for less than 20 HRs or something. I figured taking Bautista was the newbie move since he was "pretty much guaranteed to revert to the mean". Jebus.
Agree on almost all. Only points I differ on is I did think Kendall would play about half the year, and I'm not incredibly surprised that Dejesus has gotten worse going to Oakland (although I guess .233 is a pretty huge crash for him).1. He's been a fantasy disappointment for years.6. Callups are always dicey. This format is unique as far as that making a difference. 7. No, that was a surprise.
He may not be hurt yet. But it is only a matter of time.1 .15 ( 15 ) : C Mauer, Joe
Are you sure he's gunna qualify for 2B? He has like 1 inning played there, right?on the block:Jorge Posada, officially qualifying at C/1B/2B...has 355 PAs right now and is batting .241/.318/.406, which is a .724 OPS...looking for pitching...I know people are short at 2B and C (I'd be if it weren't for Martinez and having like 6 MI who all play part time), and he might have bad defense, but at least he'll qualify at that position (so the awful will be minimized)...
from what WIS says, seemingly a guy gets a grade if he ever played at a position during that season... he might get somewhat penalized in his grade for not playing there often, but he should get penalized less than someone who didn't play there...he should even get a pretty decent 2b grade because he fielded a ball properly and made the play during that one inning.... so he'll have a 1.000 fielding percentage before the "didn't play enough penalty" (which would definitely be A+ if he had enough games)...Are you sure he's gunna qualify for 2B? He'll have a perfect FLD% but D--- range. His RF/G is only 1.0 compared to a league average of 4.7from what WIS says, seemingly a guy gets a grade if he ever played at a position during that season... he might get somewhat penalized in his grade for not playing there often, but he should get penalized less than someone who didn't play there...he should even get a pretty decent 2b grade because he fielded a ball properly and made the play during that one inning.... so he'll have a 1.000 fielding percentage before the "didn't play enough penalty" (which would definitely be A+ if he had enough games)...Are you sure he's gunna qualify for 2B? but still... if he's, say, C/D or even C/D- thats better than moving someone (other than a good SS) out of position to play there...'Eephus said:He'll have a perfect FLD% but D--- range. not necessarily...the D- doesn't matter since WIS uses the actual number. So you're getting that 1.00 RF for him at second no matter what while moving even say a OF with decent range there might in fact (and probably will be) better than 1.00. Errors themselves may vary, but at 1.00 RF, eephus would have a better chance of getting to the ball.but still... if he's, say, C/D or even C/D- thats better than moving someone (other than a good SS) out of position to play there...He'll have a perfect FLD% but D--- range. Still listening for offers...I've got some 2B ABs to trade in Nunez/Valdez/Sizemore. Looking for a SP. PM me if interested...

Oh hai.
Don't feed the trolls.
All,We will be working on the 2011 Teams and Players as soon as the final games of the season are played (most likely tomorrow due to the current ties for wild card). It usually takes a day to ready and test. So, they will most likely be ready Monday. Thanks
I am only asking for a from 60-100 innings of a bad pitcher for both of these guys. And also, maybe Matt Tolbert who has played decent defense at 2B, 3B, and SS but is a poor hitter could be available as well for about a 100 inning pitcher.Anybody interested in Juan Francisco (3B, 258/289/452 in 97 PA) and/or Will Rhymes (2B, 235/323/271 in 99 PA) for innings?
That's a lot sooner than I thought. That's good ... I'd like to look at defensive grades ASAP.From the WIS forums:

I'd be down for this...Michael Stutes for your choice? If anyone is short on lefty pen options, I'd like to flip either Gonzalez or Morales for a comparable right-hander.
