Outfield related question, why is Roberto Kelly that I just got seemingly much more valuable than Bell (per PA)? Defense?

WIS puts a salary premium on guys with lower PAs and IPs.  If you had two identical pitchers with 100 and 200 IPs respectively, the WIS salary for the shorter inning guy would be greater than 50% of the other.

23.07 - Bobby Witt, P

Will post years later.

@cheese is up
Will go 90, 88, 92. Anything other than a 1 will pretty much suck.

Fun Bobby Witt story I have probably told before: there was a time my family owned a small bakery in Southlake, which is a small town north of Fort Worth/Arlington where a lot of the Ranger players lived. This was the early 90's and we did a lot of decorated shaped cookies which sell for a couple bucks a piece now, but we charged like 50 cents a piece. Anyway, Bobby Witt's hot wife comes in and asks if we could make a cake and cookies that would be acceptable for a dog to eat. We could and we did. They bought several hundred dollars worth of dog friendly treats for a birthday party, for their dog. The party included many of the other Ranger players, if they had a dog. Only dogs and their owners were allowed at the party.

Probably an embarrassing question, but what are you guys going to WIS site for?  I thought that was the point of eephussheet

There is a bunch of statistical information that for some might be beneficial, for some might be eye wash, for others more information than they want to deal with.

Basically it has two ways to normalize, in terms of the # normalized number and also a scale of how a specific state (i.e. batting avg or HR rate) places on a scale of 100, 100 being the average player. Also has items like Runs Created and ability to search certain ways that might be preferred to the sheet or other methods.

Its fun to tool around with for stat heads.

good posting poindexter

BTW, if WIS comes back up, someone shoot me a text if Im not in the thread. Just need to verify a couple things so I can pick.

And I assume I'm not the only one. If I am, I'll wing it so as not to hold folks up. If others want/need the WIS website I'll wait.

Pretty sure Kraft has Fish's pick as the Doctor will be stouts and aboots much of the day
