Oooh ... that would've been a good twist. So, can I Still draft George Brett 77/82/88![]()

I thought about that while picking Sandberg... he’d still probably be the best 2B available now (the 40-HR 1990 season was tough to turn down even with C- range) and would likely even get a 3rd set of years drafted late.Oooh ... that would've been a good twist.
Was neck and neck between he and Mike Scott... FWIW, even that one risky season, imo, will produce solid if not spectacular results (and in this format, depending upon other variables, probably good to very good). Upside is obviously Cy Young.1.20 Ron Guidry, P ... 81, 77 and oh, I guess 78 too
JR Richard and Ted Simmons?2 players taken so far I've never heard of![]()

Was in my consideration set.
Agreed. This first dice roll is pretty terrifying. Really don’t want a 1 to come up and let all these elite pitching seasons in there.
Save the ones for later when we really need themThis first dice roll is pretty terrifying. Really don’t want a 1 to come up and let all these elite pitching seasons in there.
Just edited Saberhagen's seasons -- 1989 should be first, then 85, then 91.Everyone check your years in the spreadsheet make sure they are ordered correctly.
I can do 2 as a last case scenario, if we can't find anyone to jump in and take it over as their own team.Kraft... said:X is "buried" can anyone take over his squad? He won't be around at all, to busy.
I just put them all in the correct WIS salary order. Or at least I tried to. Everyone should probably still double check.Kraft... said:Everyone check your years in the spreadsheet make sure they are ordered correctly.
I put the Ryan years in the order that I liked them, don't necessarily want them in order of Salary. Might get lucky and zig when everyone zags.I just put them all in the correct WIS salary order. Or at least I tried to. Everyone should probably still double check.
The last guy in the tier with Guidry and Scott. One really close, and arguably more consistent/safe, but still was the next tier.Doug B said:

Maybe we can do away with the strict order by total salary. It seems like another potential point of failure.I just put them all in the correct WIS salary order. Or at least I tried to. Everyone should probably still double check.
Pretty sure this is the case. Plus, adds to some more randomness so it's not "everyone's best roll" each time.Wait so we can order them however we want and hope to get lucky on the rolls?
I'd vote for order them as you want. Just no ####in' shenenigans people.Maybe we can do away with the strict order by total salary. It seems like another potential point of failure.
As long as drafters don't try to game the system too much by intentional contrarianism, we can just let people sequence their possible years as they please.
Well, Sabe's best season, anyway. The last guy in the tier with Guidry and Scott. One really close, and arguably more consistent/safe, but still was the next tier.Doug B said:
Seasons should still be ranked in rough order of best to worst but forcing strict sequence of the three by WIS salary seems like an unnecessary complicationSo then we’re not listing them as best season #1, second best #2, third best #3?
Seems like that’s not what we were trying to do but w/e everyone wants.
Does it make a difference? No matter how we order them ... we still have a one-in-three shot at their best seasonMaybe we can do away with the strict order by total salary. Saberhagen and Guidry are the alternate strategy to guys like Carlton and Fernando. The lefties had more consistent quantity/quality vs. the higher risk/reward of the two righties.Well, Sabe's best season, anyway.
I'm in favor of sticking with WIS salary. I don't trust any of these nerds not to game the system. Especially not myself - if I thought we could order them however want, I would've taken Guidry over Sandberg and stuck 78 in the 3 slot.Maybe we can do away with the strict order by total salary. It seems like another potential point of failure.
