With a 17 game NFL schedule in 2021, how will that impact how the Fantasy community schedules their regular and playoff season? (1 Viewer)

Still use weeks 1-13 as regular season? Playoffs in weeks 14-16?

The playoffs would start a week later.

Not sure you can discount week 17 now.. even starting this season with an additional WC Playoff team for each conference .. means only 1 team per conference getting a bye week for the playoffs.

More teams with more to play for on the last week might make the last week relevant for Fantasy Football once again.

our league has a two week final....this may allow a two week semi final as well...

Our league is dumb and has a week 17 championship game so I'm hoping we keep it as it and finally catch up with the most everyone else and not play the last weekend.  But yeah for the normal leagues I'd assume to just bump the playoffs back a week.

I'm wondering about bye weeks. And how something like the FPC could be impacted. They do reg season weeks 1-11, then league playoffs week 12-13, and then the big dance 14-16. I guess they'd just bump the reg season to 12 weeks but again, I wonder about bye weeks. If guys have byes as late as week 13 or 14, that could be interesting.

You mean week 18?  in 2021 week 18 will be the equivalent of today's week 17.

We'll probably stick for this year with championship games week 16 & 17 and skip week 18 to watch how it plays out.. But I could see week 18 now having more teams with something to play for with only 1 team getting a bye week and an extra WC team.
