Worst FF Trades this year (1 Viewer)

Was the defending champ in HyperActive at the time, but after this trade I may not come close for awhile.

I traded Torry Holt and a 1st rd pick that turned out to be the 2008 1.03 for Shaun Alexander and a 2nd rd pick that turned out to be 2.01.

I usually do better than that, but I guess it can happen to anyone. How about a big point to shirt !!

:lmao:

I'm sure I made worse trades last year but the only one I think about is: In a dynasty I gave up vick, housh, and lendale white for reggie bush

i was not involved in this trade, but it happened in my league.

Jamal Lewis, Champ Bailey, 2nd round pick for Cedric Benson

I traded Brian Westbrook for Marvin Harrison. I got to move up to #10 from 13 in draft also.

Keeper league.

In a very weak and desperate RB moment, I traded G Jennings for Selvin Young...

It may end up ok, but right now i cringe when i think about it (which is all too often).

Somewhere, cstu is smiling right now! In HyperActive2, I traded Clinton Portis and a 2008 1st which ended up being the 1.06 for Kevin freakin Jones!

Problem in my Dynasty league has always been my WRs...decided to upgrade in 2007. Being the Peyton Manning owner, I aquired Marvin Harrison...cost me a 2007 first and a second round draft pick. Went after Deion Branch (cost me Reggie Brown so that was a wash). At the draft, traded my 2007 third rounder to move up and grab Santonio Holmes, but had to throw my first rounder for 2008! Had I not done that, I would have had Brandon Marshall! Traded Santana Moss later in the season for Mark Clayton (I was thinking more for 2008).

Looked good on paper!

WR Donald Driver

WR Marvin Harrison (replaced Derrick Mason)

WR Deion Branch (replaced Reggie Brown)

WR Santonio Holmes (replaced Drew Bennett)

WR Mark Clayton (replaced Santana Moss)

Let's just say I didn't get the production I was counting on for what I spent!

I traded away the championship in my dynasty league, more than once.

During the offseason last year:

I gave: Terrell Owens and Jamal Lewis

I got: Rudi Johnson

If I didn't do this trade I would have walked right into the championship again and won it.

Right before opening weekend:

I gave: Julius Jones and Jason Witten

I got: Vernon Davis

If I had Witten for the year, I would have won the championship.

:stalker:

I'm sure I've made worse, but one that sticks to mind for this year was giving up Fitz, Curtis and T. Gonzalez in return for S. Smith and Shockey, week 3.

Immediately after the trade, 1) Delhomme was placed on IR, and David Carr destroyed Smith's value, 2) KC's offense woke up, and 3) Warner took over in Arizona. Really couldn't have worked out worse for me for every player involved.

Made a couple bad ones-

Preseason traded TO for Mark Clayton and 2008 2nd

After week 2 traded Greg Jennings for Chris Brown

Those are GROSS

Traded Wes Welker for Fred Taylor in a PPR league......wasnt a bad trade until I dropped Fred Taylor because I had LJ back from his bye I believe. So I basically got nothing for Welker.

EDIT1: I also lost to the same guy in the playoffs.....Welker was a main reason I lost.

Won't hurt long term, but in one league I traded Brett Favre for Michael Vick, before substantiation of allegations but after rumors.

Not this year....but last year....in a dynasty league....I traded two firsts and two thirds for Tiki Barber. Did it early in the summer, before he announced he was retiring. Still didnt think he would. He was the missing piece to my team.

I finished third in the league that season and won the whole thing this season so the picks ended up being 1.10 and 1.12 so it didnt hurt nearly as bad but it was still one of the worst trades in dynasty history.

Week 1

Got Bruce

Gave DB Kerry Rhodes & Brandon Marshall

Later obtained TO to push Bruce to my WR 4 bench slot, so I still got the championship.

Bugs me I lost value with the EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE though.

:) I was just passing on the rapage I got from when I traded for SA -- I gave up Deuce and the 1.04. I don't think anyone expected Peens to roll off 6 straight losses and end up being the 1.03.

Was the defending champ in my dynasty, and this past offseason traded Randy Moss and Jamal Lewis for Larry Fitz and a throw-in.

Neither Lewis or Moss had seen my starting lineup consistently over the last two seasons, and I was looking to get younger at WR, since my #1 WR was Harrison. Worked out well. Ain't going to live that one down for awhile.

Sometimes the worst trades are the ones you don't make.
