Good example is athletes signing for teams in high tax areas, like New York, as opposed to NO tax locations like Florida. For a multi-million dollar deal, that can mean a big change in $$.

A different conversation but this might be a reason to give teams different caps based on state taxes.

Randall Cobb had 6-7 offers today, Im told. He turned down considerably more money elsewhere to sign with the #Packers.

What's the cost of living in Wisconsin vs California?
Depends on where you live, but I'm pretty sure all of his offers weren't from teams in California, and Jacksonville isn't expensive.

 
I have working for the gov't as an engineer. But low cost of living, good benefits, and rock solid job security make up most of the difference.
