Would you let babysitter bring your child to a family party? (1 Viewer)

Just curious to hear everyone's thoughts. We have a wedding to attend in a few weeks. We asked out normal sitter if she could watch him that night and she said of course. A few days later she was invited to her uncle's suprise bday party at his house and basically told us she wants to go but would be happy to bring our son. The house is close to mine and she would bring him back to our house when the party is over. My son wouldn't know anyone there. The babysitter is very trustworthy and basically runs a daycare center with her sister during the days when she isn't going to nursing school.

Here are my concerns. Its not her kid. What if she wants to drink or something. My son is allergic to trre nuts. What if someone isnt paying attention and he eats one. My son is shy, what if hes bored and acts out. I dont know anybody else at this party. Obviously my mind runs through all the possibilities. I told my wife I wasnt crazy about the idea but my wife said I was making a big deal out of nothing. We have no other sitter and basically all the family cant watch him because they will be attending the wedding.

 
And yes the babysitter is ####### 23 years old and smoking hot and absolutely not sharing pics. I am facebook friends with her too.

 
What's her approximate bra size, height/wt and hair color please. Just asking so I can finish

My wife knows how hot I think she is. She's fine with it. Its not like she babysits me. When she babysits my son it means I am out of the house so why should she care?

She's like 5'4", no clue how heavy but she's skinny. She has big cans, Id say like 34 Ds but due to her weight my wife insists they are bolt ons. Im not so sure. And right now she dyed her hair blonde but shes normally a brunette. Finish away

Of course, every kid is different, but no way my daughter would eat anything when she was six without me reading the ingredients. She also has a tree nut allergy. I wouldnt be too worried about it. If the girl is as responsible as you say, Im sure he will be taken care of.

 
Yeah I wouldn't worry about it. Since your concerned about the nut issue send along your own piece of cake, brownie or some treat that your son can have when they are breaking out the cake.

 
If you trust her to be alone with your kid, then there is zero reason you shouldn't trust her to be around other people with the kid

 
I guess I'm the lone dissenting opinion here.

IMO, baby-sitter taking kid around is fine- she's paid to look after him, whether it's at home, playground, museum whatever and as a responsible adult, I'm sure she makes your son her focus while she's working. But I wouldn't trust or expect her to do that at a party- and at 6, it's a little young for the kid to be essentially on his own (worst case) in a strange house with strange people. my 2c.

 
I went on vacation for several days with a babysitter. They always treated me well and the family really wanted ms to go. I had great time and all was well. I still remember playing on the beach with her kids.

I like putting people in situations where they can succeed, or at least mitigate their failures. A young babysitter at a party isn't high on that list for me.

but if the wife is cool with it... :shrug:

and lol at moops finding anything nuts in regards to childcare. ;)

Her Uncles party. It'll probably have 10 other parents there.

parents doesn't necessarily mean "good" parents.

but again- if the wife is cool with this, end of subject.

 
There will be tons of kids there. My son knows not to eat nuts. Probably not a valid concern. Ok sounds like i was worrying for nothing.

Tell the babysitter your expectation is she will not be drinking while watching your son and if she does drink you will have to give her a spanking.
