WR Amon-Ra St. Brown, DET (1 Viewer)

If Amon Ra is a bust than so is Justin Jefferson. Their scoring is pretty much identical in PPR and standard.
The other angle is that the passing game is down league wide so perhaps being held to previous gaudy numbers isn’t fair.

Still, Lamb, Wilson, St. Brown, Jefferson and Hill owners aren’t pleased with their ROI when they could’ve had Barkley, Henry, etc. Of course, those regrets happen every yea

Hes been extremely disappointing this year. I'd call him a first round bust also. Yeah he's top 5 WR but the WR position in general is having a down year across the board. 3 single digit games in a row, 5 total on the season. Targets WAY down from last year. 2 blowup games all season.
Agree for FF perspective. I accumulated many many invested hours expecting big games only to be disappointed. I get that non FF player is part of the cog driving for a SB championship. Additionally, I was speculating last night that uber wide receiver numbers are down or better yet very inconsistent- blow up game than ~ 3 duds. I guess I just ride him out and hope for the best but that engine has too many parts for FF dominance. Monty and Gibbs are the best plays and they can go dormant if Lions hit home field wrap up
Completely agree and feel the same way ... dynasty I really don't want to move on from him, but this year has been frustrating from him due to supposedly being a fantasy stud.
Maybe I’m wrong but I swore I looked at ppr scoring last weekend and Amon Ra was top 5. I am struggling to see how that’s disappointing. Sure we all want 1700/12 from our 1st round picks but that’s not happening for every player. Sure we wish we had Saquon or Henry but the fact is Amon Ra has been a steady producer, not a bust.
Not everyone plays in a ppr league
9 TDs is 2nd amongst all WRs. 863 yards is 7th. I mean he’s not a league winner but he’s far from a bust.
He could be considered a bust by some FF players ADP non ppr. Maybe bust is too strong of a description. I am in the disappointed camp. I think across 13 he has averaged 11 points per game. Take away the only uber game vs Jax and he is averaging 9.79 ppg. The yards are down and got a lift from the TDs otherwise it could have been more frustrating but the numbers count. My fault taking him at his ADP non ppr. I speculated heavy run game but I bet top 3 offense and that Goff was going to put up bigger numbers and did not see anyone outside Williams as a threat. Alas, the FF playoff run is the downer. Is what it is. Probably have one last week to get a bigger number vs Bills which will be a challenge. After that its probably a shut down
Why would he be shut down? They have a 1 game lead over 2 different teams for the #1 seed. Extremely small chance the Lions clinch homefield before the final week of the season. Also entirely possible Detroit loses that game to Buffalo, and I'm not sure Campbell is really the type to rest guys anyway.
Its always possible plus I am considering the many injuries that they have. A win vs the Bills will put them on the cusp.

JJ same boat as ASB, a bit of a bust but not his fault

I would have guessed he was injured until he last week or two, I think he gets taken out of games and they succeed elsewhere, Addison must be in a million 1 on 1's

Thank you Amon Ra for cancelling out my opponent's Davante Adams and sending me through to the semi finals.

Oof, meniscus surgery for a clean-up? If so he will be fine but since it wasn't a repair he could have long term issues. AJB also had a clean-up and he's still going so this is a more of later on in his career.

Dude had a "down" year to the tune of 146 targets, 115 receptions, and 12 TD's. For all the talk of his volume/touches going down, he absolutely killed it again. He lost a smidge over a target per game.

I'm struggling with WR4-6 between ARSB, Nabers, Puka. I don't think there's a "wrong" answer. Just a more right one.

I’ve never had a worse eval than this guy. I mean, everybody says they’ll make teams regret passing on them, but it’s so rare a guy puts in the will and the work to overcome his limitations. Wow.

Some of what he did to Miami in that organized practice was so filthy

He was a little less dominant today but still had multiple TDs. Campbell talked at length in his morning presser how while it no longer surprises him, he is still impressed at the work ethic, drive, attitude - he’s gotten better every season and is still expanding his game.

Last year his targets/rec/yards declined but he was even more efficient (catch rate, success rate, passer rating when targeted.) Every year his slot snaps have gone down and outside routes have increased.

That resulted a career high in ADoT and his contested catches were 20/30 (and his YAC was lower because they have started using him slightly differently.)

Career low 1 drop on the year, career high in run blocking grade. He doesn’t have overall WR1 upside because they have a half dozen weapons, doubt he ever has 175+ targets. Might have the best floor, though, of any first round pick.

I'm sure there will be more than one game thread where someone that has either St.Brown, Gibbs, Jamo, LaPorta, Montgomery, or Teslaa will be angry that their guy wasn't the one who got the touchdown.
