Bucs informed WR Antonio Brown of his release.
The move probably won't officially be made until Monday, but Brown will be cut and exposed to waivers after one of the most bizarre episodes you will ever see on a football field. It was the logical conclusion to a Bucs tenure — and almost certainly NFL career — that saw Brown coddled at every turn. The Bucs openly admitted that keeping Brown after his vaccine card disaster was a cynical ploy at winning. They got what they paid for in a player who has now flamed out with four different organizations. We are not doctors or mental health professionals, but you don't need us to tell you all does not seem well in Brown's world. Six months shy of his 34th birthday, Brown enters the offseason with the 21st most catches in NFL history. It's hard to see him getting a fifth chance.

It seems really unlikely for him to play for another team in the NFL.I’m generally a believer in letting things go when done in the heat of the moment - but quitting the game and just walking out is indefensible. He’d never play for me again if I was the Bucs GM.
Or if he hadn’t forged a Covid vaccine cardHe had a TON of incentive language in his contract. He likely would have hit them with a full compliment if targets these last two weeks.
His behavior impresses you? What a way to go out. The man is a legend.
what a POS...after not being relevant and available for interviews.....gets asked a legit question and goes total arsehole.....he's fine and loves to talk about how great he is and run his mouth as long as it is what HE wants to talk about and on his agenda.....what a ##### not wanting to answer the tough questions....so over this guy.....Brady's "little project" is still a POS no matter how far under his wing he is tucked....
Not sure what Fox sports did but the whole sport is based on guys trying to run into each other as hard as they can so we can watch.I guess this whole situation leaves me feeling kind of sad. I thought we as a society have matured and understand mental illness. I don’t necessarily expect people here to be levelheaded, But I expect Fox sports to know better than to turn this into some sort of must see spectacle. A fellow human being is likely in a mental health breakdown situation and most choose to basically point and laugh. I don’t expect many people on this board to agree with me, but that’s how I see it
Mental illness is a very real thing, yes, but you do know that Brown has been accused of sexual assault on multiple occasions? And once almost crushed a toddler by throwing furniture out of a building from 14 stories up? And was arrested for attacking a moving truck driver? And the list goes on. If someone walks to chalk all of these instances up to CTE or the actions of someone mentally ill, that is their right, but he gets zero benefit of the doubt from me. All of these armchair psychologists on Twitter who are convinced that the Burfict hit gave him CTE are talking out their you-know-whats.I guess this whole situation leaves me feeling kind of sad. I think most of us have some patience and understanding, and try to have more. But he has to take ownership for his actions and he has been given more chances than most ever get. Lying to his team, refusing to play when coach says they need him in, and then blowing up like this, he deserves to be cut (and that’s ignoring a lot of other things). he’s a 33yo multi millionaire with access to the best treatment in the world.I guess this whole situation leaves me feeling kind of sad. If he truly felt like he had a concussion then he was right to not go back out on the field. The rest, remains unexcused.Mental illness is a very real thing, yes, but you do know that Brown has been accused of sexual assault on multiple occasions? this. Mental illness is no joke, but you still have responsibility for your actions.I think most of us have some patience and understanding, and try to have more. You do this in any workplace and you’re probably fired.
Nowhere did I excuse any of his behavior.Mental illness is a very real thing, yes, but you do know that Brown has been accused of sexual assault on multiple occasions? Anything that can justify his actions? There is more to this story than we currently know.
Anything that can justify his actions?
I have No idea. But agreed, it would be interesting. Is that the reason he wouldn't go back in???
I can't wait to hear a full explanation of this whole situation.
The next time he plays football it will be for the Mean Machine. He'll pop up somewhere next year.
Just twist the blade a little more to the rightHe was about to get peppered with like 8-10 second half targets.
I had him in a couple of important spots today. Sucks.Just twist the blade a little more to the right![]()
Tongue in cheek. I guess that can get lost on a message board. It’s a sad world we live in. Multiple threads, posts, tweets, and discussions on Antonio Brown. His behavior impresses you?
Will be a taking a strong look at him next week for a variety of leagues and DFS, like that you are spotlighting himNobody talking about Cyril Grayson. Except his teammates.

It appears as if Antonio Brown just released a rap song titled “Pit Not the Palace.” He just linked to it on his IG.
Not in the NFL, but come on, this little antic is the talk of the weekend. Trashy reality shows will be lining up to have this guy on as soon as they can. AB is going to be alright. He'll pop up somewhere next year.
He'll pop up somewhere next year.
I posted the same thing in the other AB thread, I'm glad others thought similar. And I only picked Paul because you know he would jump all over that to get a splashy name in the ring.I'm thinking as an undercard in the next Jake Paul fight
And I want Adriana Lima to call me back.As insane as that sounds, his 'rap' on IG kinda supports the notion of him wanting to be a Steeler.
no chance this happens.I hate to be that guy, but the Reddit conspiracy theories are flying that he engineered this halftime thing to quit on the Bucs because he was unhappy with Arians the last few months and wants to return to the Pittsburgh Steelers, of all teams (I'm guessing because Ben would be gone next season)?

AB’s exit was memorable - but this guy still sits on the throne: https://youtu.be/noZuwk-cM3A
