WR Antonio Brown, FA (4 Viewers)

First game back, I think expectations of having WR1 #s is unrealistic. Week 17 vs the Jets more realistic (although knowing Brady/Gronk history vs Jets, I think Gronk will be the real league winner).
Agreed.  I think people are going to be sorely disappointed.

I had Godwin. I'm in a semifinal. The Bucs have nobody. I have nobody. I'm rolling Brown out because I was savvy enough (that's a self-congratulatory back pat, try "not asleep at the wheel") to hold him on IR in case of this.

So we shall see. I think he sees 12-15 targets. This is fascinating. Get yer popcorn, fellas.

I really hope you are correct and I'm already warming up the microwave! Giddy up!

I think my projection might be more from hope than anything, but I can't see how -- if he's the only former starter available at WR -- that Brady doesn't make him a large portion of their game. How much they throw is another thing, but he should have his market share of targets and air yards, that's nearly for sure.

AB will be force fed from the GOAT.  with the carnage at WR I'd have to think he's definitely a top 10 wr this week.

Held him for just this scenario.  Thought an injury to Godwin or Evans was a real possibility.... but both?

Now the rest of my WRs are hurt, have COVID, or major QB issues so, yes, I need AB in the worst way.  Pretty heavy underdog but jumping aboard the train.

As long as AB plays and finishes the game the whole way through I have no doubts he’ll kill it. Brady loves the guy even when evans and Godwin were there. He’s gonna force feed the the heck out of him

It's not just force feeding. AB gets open, and he knows the reads. And Brady loves throwing to open guys.

See below. What I don't understand:

1. Why is AB still not at practice if Arians says he's fine?

2. Why would his absence be expected?

If he's not practicing in full and getting reps in with Brady I don't see how this is such a slam dunk.

pure speculation but maybe they just want to keep him in bubble wrap until game time to ensure he doesn't pull something and then they have no legit NFL wr's to roll out this weekend.  again, just a complete guess.

AB will be at practice. The part available to the media is only 20 minutes at the start of practice and it’s usually just the special-teamers and a few starters wander out. Same thing happened yesterday and AB was a full go.

So same thing took place yesterday. What was his official designation yesterday?

Antonio Brown (ankle) was listed as limited for a second-straight practice on Thursday.

With Mike Evans (back-to-back DNPs) trending towards not playing and Chris Godwin (IR) definitely not playing, Brown looks likely to be a main target for Tom Brady on Sunday against the reeling Panthers. It's a smash spot in Brown's return to the starting lineup if he can get there, and Bruce Arians' comments on Wednesday alluded to him looking ready to go.

Antonio Brown (ankle) was not given an injury designation for Week 16 against the Panthers.

Brown was limited all week in practice, but he was not listed on the final injury report, suggesting he is near if not at full health. With Mike Evans (hamstring) out and Chris Godwin (knee) on injured reserve, Brown is suddenly the No. 1 receiver in an offense featuring Tom Brady. That makes him a locked-in WR1 with as much upside as anyone on the slate.

what a POS...after not being relevant and available for interviews.....gets asked a legit question and goes total arsehole.....he's fine and loves to talk about how great he is and run his mouth as long as it is what HE wants to talk about and on his agenda.....what a ##### not wanting to answer the tough questions....so over this guy.....Brady's "little project" is still a POS no matter how far under his wing he is tucked....

The reality of sports... as long as you can help a team win you can basically do/say whatever you want.

Sounds more like you just took an L in the playoffs against him :)

Salty in here. AB get flatulent in your face or something?

Naw, he's pretty much a jerk of the highest order. That's fair to say, I think. Does anybody root for the guy at this point, really.

By the way, Brady has his dream. He's got AB and can force feed him 15-20 targets per game once they're on the same page (they often weren't yesterday).

He's going to explode against even the run-funnel Jets next Sunday. I'm hoping for 15-20/170/2 TDs.

Tell me it can't be done.

AB is the worst of the worst.

Avoid if you are a chef or a mover or a landlord or a girlfriend or anyone who he may ever owe money to.

As a fantasy owner though, yah I'll start him.

A healthy Brown is still one of the top-5 WR's in the NFL in my opinion. If he hadn't gotten hurt(and suspended) I think he'd be having a monster season.

He's a league winner for sure against the Jets, especially if Gronk keeps seeing so few catches.

This is a very emotional way to express regret for not drafting him.

As for fantasy trade value, Brown is one of those players you can’t trade for anything substantial because everyone knows he has one foot out of the league.  Might as well ride him for the duration, however long or short it is.

Since when do any athletes or coaches answer the tough questions? Were you in the Aaron Rodgers thread saying this stuff?

Antonio Brown (ankle) did not practice on Thursday.

He had gotten in a limited practice on Wednesday, but that was just a walkthrough with an estimation. It's hard to know what to read into this given how Brown torched the Panthers last weekend. For now, we'll assume it's more of a rest day than anything, but keep an eye out on Friday's practice report from the Bucs.

I may be wrong, but I believe this happened last week as well and that the portion of practice that the media is able to observe is pretty short and does not involve any team drills. Best to wait to see what his actual designation is and pay attention to what Schefter is saying tomorrow night/Sunday morning.

Arians is an idiot. Why bring him back so hard last week? Key is having him available for the playoffs. They could have won last week with all third stringers. Dumb.

Harold Goodwin says Antonio Brown tweaked his ankle injury a little bit this week but still has a chance to play on Sunday.

Goodwin says Antonio Brown "tweaked" his ankle a little in practice this week but is still possible to play this week. They'll decide how he feels Sunday and go from there.

Oh boy... AB tweaked ankle prolly holding out due to caution.

Who's up next? B Perrimen. He was in line for more work even with a healthy AB.

Voodoo One Voodoo One...

-Launch Perriman on Alert-5!

-Evans hammy, there's no way he can be asked to move the team between the 20s, expect him to be used around the RZ

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Antonio Brown (ankle) is expected to play in Week 17 against the Jets.

Brown tweaked his ankle in practice and Schefter noted that the team "had their doubts" about him playing. However, after practicing Saturday, he appears good to go. Mike Evans is also returning but Schefter reports that his usage will be limited, putting Brown in line for another massive target share. He accounted for 50 percent of the team's targets last week and would put up video game numbers with that role versus the Jets. He remains a WR1 for Week 17.
