WR Brandon Aiyuk, SF (4 Viewers)

Brandon Aiyuk Could Be A Solid WR3 In Week 2

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk (hamstring) appears to be on track to make his NFL debut in Week 2 against the New York Jets. Aiyuk was questionable until almost game-time in Week 1 and this week, he returned to practicing in full. The 49ers are badly hurt at wide receiver and they are going into an extremely favorable matchup against a Jets Defense that allowed 312 receiving yards in Week 1 against the Bills. Aiyuk's outlook is even more promising if star tight end George Kittle (knee) is out for the game. He's currently questionable. Regardless, Aiyuk is a solid option as a WR3 or flex in Week 2 as he should see somewhere around seven or eight targets in his debut.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller

49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk (hamstring) is expected to play Week 2 against the Jets.

Aiyuk will make his pro debut against a Jets secondary that was decimated by Buffalo receivers for 247 yards last week. Aiyuk and Jordan Reed should be the primary pass catchers for San Francisco with George Kittle (knee) and Deebo Samuel (foot) out. Aiyuk should be rostered in all 12-team leagues.

Welcome to the team...

Firing up my Aiyuk. Because I have to.

No nfl body of work to see, but I’m hopeful the targets are there, because they have no one else to throw to.

Who’s coming with me?

I might be there too due to, probably, the same injuries you have. It's either Aiyuk or Preston against a stout Bills D. Treating week two as first bye week decimation.

Down Deebo, Golladay and AJ Brown behind Tyreek Hill. It's Aiyuk or Tre'Quon Smith as my #2 receiver. Both joined the team this morning.

Don’t do it. Put in Swift.
I would,Detroit will be playing catch up all day. Plus Swift still has Johnson and AP to to split Carrie's with.

Auiyuk will get 7-9 targets. No Kittle,No Debo,....Petit and Bourne suck! My rational expectations are 5-7 receptions 85 yards receiving and a TD.

Thing I like with Debo out,is it gives Jimmy G time to gell with Auiyuk, before he returns.

I also think Logan Thomas, will have similar numbers as Auiyuk Today.

Thomas will be a top 12 TE this year.

49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk (hamstring) is officially active for Week 2 against the Jets.

Aiyuk missed Week 1 but is returning to a 49ers team that is currently ravaged by injures. They'll be without Deebo Samuel (foot) and George Kittle (knee) versus the Jets. Aiyuk could step in and be his team's leading receiver against a soft Jets secondary. He's a deep flex play based on the targets he should see this week.

Brandon Aiyuk caught 2-of-3 targets for 21 yards in the 49ers' Week 2 win over the Jets.

Aiyuk played a limited role in his debut but that was to be expected. He suffered a hamstring injury in training camp that kept him on the sidelines in Week 1. Aiyuk should see more snaps in the coming weeks as his health improves and he gets more practice reps within the offense. However, the return of George Kittle (knee) and Deebo Samuel (foot) could limit his fantasy output. He's not worth starting in fantasy until his role expands.

Brandon Aiyuk caught 5-of-8 targets for 70 yards and added 31 rushing yards and rushing score in the 49ers' Week 3 win over the Giants.

Aiyuk was the leader in all receiving categories, including targets. Coach Kyle Shanahan was manufacturing touches to his first-round rookie early in the game, and it paid off with a long rushing score after the Giants opted to stop tackling. Aiyuk's target competition will ramp up quickly with George Kittle and Deebo Samuel closer to returning, but Aiyuk can be held onto at the end of fantasy rosters to see how involved he'll be. The 49ers host the Eagles at home in Week 4.

Suprised this dude isn't getting more love on these boards. He just crushes my eye test when I watch him play. He is a smooth athlete in the mold of Alvin Kamara, IMO, with a monster catch radius and strong hands. Deebo and the Niners RBs will get in his way this year, probably, but this dude looks like a future star to me, and will eventually surpass Deebo in the pecking order.

My favorite WR in this class when you consider rookie draft capital (early 2nd).  He’s sooooo smooth.

I’m fully on board.

Brandon Aiyuk caught 3-of-6 targets for 44 yards in the 49ers' Week 5 loss to the Dolphins.

Aiyuk was held without a rush one week after finding the end zone on the ground. Raheem Mostert's healthy return likely had something to do with that. Aiyuk was third in targets behind George Kittle and Deebo Samuel, both of whom drew eight looks. Samuel's usage obviously bodes poorly for Aiyuk's WR4 case going forward. It's unclear who might be under center for Week 6 against the Rams, but Aiyuk will probably struggle to crack the top 50 in re-draft rankings.

Brandon Aiyuk caught 2-of-3 targets for 12 yards and a touchdown in Week 6 against the Rams.

This was a quiet night for Aiyuk outside of his touchdown — a third down pass at the two-yard line. It’s the first receiving touchdown for Aiyuk, who has two rushing scores. Aiyuk was out-targeted by both George Kittle (10) and Deeebo Samuel (6). He's a low-floor WR3 for a matchup with the Patriots in Week 7.

Brandon Aiyuk caught 6-of-7 targets for 115 yards in the 49ers' Week 7 win against the Patriots.

The Niners again used Aiyuk on toss sweeps that appear to be unstoppable. With long strides and tough running, Aiyuk went over 100 yards with ease. In a more competitive game, we might've seen him eclipse 150 yards. If Deebo Samuel -- who left in the second half of Week 7's game with a hamstring injury -- is inactive next week against the Seahawks, Aiyuk becomes a sneaky WR2 option with upside.

Looks real nice so far. Talent was never the question with me, but situation was (and still probably is to an extent) with Kittle and run heavy/defense approach (when healthy)

Has the guy that wanted to debate Harry vs. Aiyuk because "Harry put up better stats than Aiyuk same season together at ASU" still want to debate here? That's why YOU WATCH THE GAMES and not box scores when evaluating!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There's nothing worse than this  And it's always apparent the LAZY people that do it.

ASU had to manufacture touches for Harry constantly. Guy has Michael Floyd slow feet. And a horrible horrible horrible sign he's having trouble getting open at his age. Aiyuk is able to get open at every level. Harry you have to get it to him right away and let him create something.....or have to throw him open.

Brandon Aiyuk caught 8-of-11 targets for 91 yards and a touchdown in the 49ers' Week 8 loss to the Seahawks.

Everything aligned for Aiyuk here. Deebo Samuel was out, Tevin Coleman and George Kittle left early, and the 49ers trailed the entire game. Aiyuk's 11 targets led the team, and he easily could be the best option in Week 9 because the Niners play on Thursday next. George Kittle's ankle injury makes him questionable. Aiyuk's yards after the catch ability and volume without Samuel are worth betting on as a top-25 fantasy receiving option in the short term.

Soo Bourne out, Kittle out, Pettis cut, who are they going to throw to?

Excited but nervous about a Jaire Alexander draping tomorrow night (if the game happens).

What are everyone's thoughts?

I’m sitting him tomorrow. The team is a mess that we don’t know how they will play. Also, teams attack GB by running so I bet the passing volume will be pretty low.

Brandon Aiyuk caught 7-of-14 targets for 75 yards and a touchdown in the 49ers' Week 10 loss to the Saints, adding one rush for -8 yards.

No other 49ers pass catcher saw more than six targets. Negative game script fueled Aiyuk's massive target total, just as it did in Week 8 against the Seahawks. As long as Deebo Samuel (hamstring) is out, fantasy managers need to find a way to work Aiyuk into their lineups based on volume alone. A couple more accurate throws from Nick Mullens against the Saints and Aiyuk could have had a week-winning stat line. He should be considered a low-end WR2 in PPR leagues next week against the Rams.

49ers placed Brandon Aiyuk on the reserve/COVID list.

San Francisco's outbreak continues as Kendrick Bourne, Trent Williams, and Aiyuk have now reverted to the team's COVID list twice in the past two weeks. Reserve TE Daniel Helm was also moved to the COVID list, joining Arik Armstead, Hroniss Grasu, Javon Kinlaw, and Joe Walker (along with Aiyuk and Williams) at this time. It's still possible for all to test negative for five consecutive days and return in time for the 49ers' divisional showdown against the Rams in Week 12.

Coach Kyle Shanahan "did not appear optimistic" on Brandon Aiyuk's (COVID) chance to return for Week 12 against the Rams.

Aiyuk isn't expected to play against Los Angeles, thrusting Deebo Samuel, Kendrick Bourne and Richie James into three-wide sets. Sunday being Samuel's first game back from a soft tissue injury since Week 7, fantasy players should look elsewhere for confident options in Week 12. Aiyuk has a chance to get cleared before the team's next matchup against the Bills Monday night.

49ers activated WR Brandon Aiyuk from the reserve/COVID-19 list.

The move will be made official Tuesday afternoon. Also coming off the COVID list and rejoining Aiyuk on the 53-man roster will be DT D.J. Jones, TE Daniel Helm and DL Jordan Willis. Aiyuk, who had three straight 75-yard games before catching the coronavirus, has not played since Week 10. Deebo Samuel returned from injury in Week 12 and had a monster game, though Samuel and Aiyuk are utilized differently in coach Kyle Shanahan's offense. He gets more "pure receiver" looks, with Samuel a YAC slasher. Aiyuk will offer some WR3 value for Week 13 against the Bills.

Brandon Aiyuk (COVID-19) is practicing in full for Week 13 against the Bills.

Aiyuk ended up missing only one game since the 49ers were on bye in Week 11. Deebo Samuel blew up for 11 receptions on 13 targets in Aiyuk's Week 12 absence, but this receiver corps could prove big enough for the both of 'em. With George Kittle (foot) still sidelined, coach Kyle Shanahan lacks compelling alternatives for target funnels. Samuel gets the Week 13 rankings edge following his impressive return, but Aiyuk is absolutely in the WR3 mix.

Brandon Aiyuk caught 5-of-9 targets for 95 yards and one touchdown in the 49ers' Week 13 loss to the Bills.

Aiyuk was making his first appearance since Week 10 after spending one game and the bye week on the COVID list. The rookie led the team in yards and tied Deebo Samuel with nine targets. Aiyuk was the recipient of Nick Mullens' first touchdown of the night, scoring from two yards out after the Bills lost a fumble inside their own five-yard line. Over his last four games, Aiyuk has a combined 26-376-3 line on 40 targets. He's an every-week WR1 ahead of a tougher Week 14 date with Washington.

Kid is a baller. That Ball tracking and  adjustment he had to make on that sideline throw by Mullins was a thing of beauty.
With Deebo working more as a RB than a true WR in this offense, I think Aiyuk is the preferred option to own going forward.

He dropped a couple catchable balls, too. One that obviously went for an INT or he would have had even better numbers.

Brandon Aiyuk has a 28.6 percent target share over his past four games.

Aiyuk posted 95 yards and one touchdown on Monday night against Buffalo in his first appearance since Week 10. Aiyuk and Deebo Samuel each had nine targets. Aiyuk's production doesn't hinge on Samuel's availability, as he's a more traditional receiver option who can be used as a rusher too. Aiyuk has averaged 20.2 PPR points per game in his torrid four game stretch. He now leads the 49ers in expected fantasy points and is tied with Samuel for the team lead in target share. Aiyuk should be locked into fantasy lineups in Week 14 against Washington.

BRANDON AIYUK A WR1 WITH UPSIDE VS. DALLAS

Excerpt:

Start of the Week: Brandon Aiyuk at Cowboys -- Deebo Samuel hurt his hamstring on the opening drive last week against Washington, leaving Aiyuk to totally dominate the targets, seeing a season-high 16 of them en route to a 10-119 line. Aiyuk has 100 yards and/or one touchdown in six straight games. Samuel is expected to miss the remainder of the regular season, and George Kittle (ankle, I.R.) has yet to be cleared for action despite returning to practice this week. Aiyuk gets about as good of a matchup he’s seen all season. Dallas is 26th in fantasy points allowed to running backs and 23rd in pass-defense DVOA. Marquise Brown (5-39-1), Terry McLaurin (7-92), Adam Thielen (8-123-2), and Justin Jefferson (3-86-1) have all met or beat expectations against the Cowboys’ secondary since Dallas’ Week 10 bye. Aiyuk has a real shot at leading all wideouts in targets this weekend.

Brandon Aiyuk caught 9-of-13 targets for 73 yards and a touchdown in the 49ers' Week 15 loss to the Cowboys.

Without George Kittle and or Deebo Samuel in this game, Aiyuk earned a 30 percent target share in Week 15. He was clearly the top pass-catching option for the 49ers and should continue to hold onto that role to close out the season. Even if Kittle returns, Aiyuk will command enough targets to be a fringe WR1. The 49ers are all but eliminated from playoff contention so it's possible that Kittle doesn't even take the field in the final two weeks.
