WR Christian Kirk, HOU (5 Viewers)

He's that guy in the 11th or 12th round you scoop up while others are taking defenses. His thing is obviously health. His last full season clocked in 84 receptions, 1100 yards, 8 tds. I see that as attainable. The perfect pairing with Nico and Stroud. I see a solid season. My low investment flag plant.

Seems like good value at those prices. The line is obviously a concern and I see CJ spreading the wealth around to anyone not named Nico but definitely worth an 11-12th in a non keeper/dynasty.

I agree and have done the same. If he can stay on the field, he should get a good amount of targets. Their oline is still a mess, short yardage slot throws should be plentiful.

Already had taken Nico so I figured Kirk was off the table until the middle of the 12th round came about and I still opted to pass
But then the middle of the 13th came along and we at the Ministry as well as many in the Shark Pool will tell you, if the player you are debating is still there in the next round, pick them up!
Good insurance if nothing else

Every time I think it will be his time he ends up injured. I thought if healthy he could easily out perform his ADP
He is going to outscore his ADP. He was one of the biggest values this year. Easily.
With that line, Stroud isn't going to have a lot of time. Plenty of checkdowns to the PPR monster that is Kirk.

I don't know, man. It seems (I'm not looking it up) like this guy hasn't had a full season to put in the bank in years. I was sort of avoiding him this year, even if I got him past ADP. Every year it seems there are guys like this that everyone drafts when they could be drafting upside rookies. I could be wrong, but I'm not optimistic about his bodily integrity. I think the whole "injuries are random and happen to all football players" is bunk. Some guys are injury prone. Some guys are falling apart after the abuse they take in the league. Christian Kirk seems like the latter.

He has such a good opportunity to have a good season and get one more decent contract. Get healthy buddy.

That's a big ask. The knock on Captain is he's never healthy. There's a reason they drafted Noel. Outside of Nico, this WR group is going to be a nightmare to sort out.

Has the entire industry, including beat writers, forgotten that Monday night games first on field practice participation starts Thursdays?
The Wednesday report is an estimation.
Reporting has gotten worse over the years.

Who knows. I've been so convinced Kirk was gonna hit this year i didn't put much time in either rookie. I picked up Noel in both my Kirk leagues. I guess he's faster. About all I know about him. Ha ha
I am not worried.

This is likely the best or second best offense hes ever been a part of. my only concern is the Houston O line (and to a lesser degree his health). but hes got a real good #1 on the other side taking the top cover guys away from him. I think he will have himself a real nice season.

Maybe not a career best, but I wouldnt be surprised if he got close to 1000 yards and a handful of TD

for where hes going in drafts, thats a pretty nice outcome. I'd even be happy with 900 yards given where hes been drafted in most leagues.

how long do you think he's going to be out for? If this is a multi week thing, that is going to be big, and one of those rooks might take and keep some of his targets.

That's my concern. Even missing that one week alows those rookies to get snaps and targets. Hopefully it's just a one week absent

I don't trust Kirk's health or Houston's honesty when it comes to injuries. When they tell you something is day to day, plan on a few weeks at least. Kirk is going to be a headache to own and Noel looks like the real deal.

that is always the risk when injured for more than a couple weeks. it opens doors for others to come in and carve out a role.
either way, hes my WR 4 in most of my leagues. WR5 in one. so I can afford to wait on him

so long as hes not out half the season I'll get fair return on that investment.

He’s a pretty expendable player for the roster if the rookies come on stronger than anticipated and if they are ahead of schedule. The teams draft picks seemed to make it clear he’s not a huge part of the Teams long term plans.
