So far, reports on Coleman are that he struggles to separate, so I’m not convinced he’ll be leapfrogging anyone just yet.with Coleman having potential to leapfrog Samuel by the end of the season if he's the real deal.

Out of necesity, it should mean Shakir is on the field more and targeted more but I don't know if he quite fills the same role. Not sure anyone on the Bills can fill the Samuel role. MIght actually be a nice bump for Cook if you think about it.Should be a nice bump in value for Skakir. Had my eye on him and now he’s probably going to go earlier.
May be more targets for Kincaid too but he’s already pretty well valued.Out of necesity, it should mean Shakir is on the field more and targeted more but I don't know if he quite fills the same role. Just fell like a rock on my draft board.Matt Parrino
Curtis Samuel is also considered week-to-week with a turf toe injury.x.com

I low key expected Shakir to be their WR1, so this does nothing to hurt that in my eyes.Bummer on Samuel. He could have a role similar to another Samuel in the league but turf toe can be a real itch. This Bills offense is one of the things I am most intersted in seeing. Josh Allen keeps getting ranked as QB1 but when you look around at his options, it's concerning.
Turf toe only keeping u out a couple of games is very true. The problem is how many games after coming back is that toe still having an impact on your routes? Turf toe sucks. Sure, that doesn't just put him on my dnd list, but definitely has some effect on where I draft him. My value would be a little different if I was drafting today compare to last week . All my opinion.I think you guys are jumping to conclusions. Samuel has a turf toe injury. not torn ligaments. he will not miss much time if at all.
I'd say you draft the same way you were gonna draft before the announcement of the injury. if it looks like he will miss week 1 you may wish to revisit, but turf toe isnt the type of injury that keeps you out more than a game or two in the regular season. we are in pre season with 2 weeks to go to the regular season starts.
My guess is he plays week 1 but may not be quite at 100%. after that, hes likely fine.
Can be absolutely brutal - Adams missed 4 games in 2019, and reportedly played through pain ROS.I think you guys are jumping to conclusions. Samuel has a turf toe injury. not torn ligaments. he will not miss much time if at all.

Other players have come back from missed time & re-injured it.
This article does an excellent job of explaining why it’s such a big deal, and how it can come back at any time.

The agony of the feet: Why turf toe is such a dreaded injury in the NFL
A misunderstood and often dismissed condition, a big toe hyperextension can cause crippling pain with every step, creating mental anguish and fatigue that take a huge toll on an athlete. After decades of occurrences, it's finally being taken seriously.www.espn.com
Completely different part of the foot as I understand it.I have also wondered if some of the more serious ones were actually lisfranc injuries that were mis diagnosed. but thats neither here nor there. I am not a doctor
Lisfranc is actually a mid-foot injury, but the pain radiates from the arch all the way through the toes. The result of both injuries is similar in that it's almost impossible to push off and drive forward. Still, it would be very hard for any professional to mis-diagnose a significant Lisfranc injury as turf toe because of some of the other indicators of a Lisfranc.Completely different part of the foot as I understand it.I have also wondered if some of the more serious ones were actually lisfranc injuries that were mis diagnosed. but thats neither here nor there. Turf toe = big toe
Lisfranc = heel area
I have a lisfranc issue right now - fortunately mine’s isolated to the heel area.Lisfranc is actually a mid-foot injury, but the pain radiates from the arch all the way through the toes. yeah the lisfranc area is in the middle of the foot I think just in front of the arch. nearly every tendon, ligament runs through that area and there are a ton of little bones in there too. any change to one affects all the others.I have a lisfranc issue right now - fortunately mine’s isolated to the heel area.Lisfranc is actually a mid-foot injury, but the pain radiates from the arch all the way through the toes. I hadn’t read about it extending to the toes. Yeesh, that would be awful. Good info, thanks.
He seems to be moving fine in that last video. I’m trying to decide on Samuel and a few other similar WR types at the end of my bench as a season flier. Looks like I’ll wait on the practice report tomorrow before making one last FA move before the season starts.it's my understanding turf toe tends to not heal in the season it occurs - it's a pain management issue all year
saw a couple videos on X showing him at the media portion of practice
was barely jogging so that wasn't much help (Samuel wears #1)
McDermott hasn't held a media session in 9 days, maybe we'll learn something tomorrow
2 weeks ago "week to week", last update was "might be ready week 1"
first injury report comes out Wednesday
ETA
OK, found evidence he can still run lol
turf toe is the worst
I’m hoping so. It would be risky to play him though. But I’m might have to in a few leagues because of byes and injuries. Fingers crossed he picks up a few more targets. No Shakir. Is this the week?
If not this week, then basically neverNo Shakir. Is this the week?
I think most are aware. That snap share is also when all are healthy. Shakir has exceeded expectations for sure. In the offseason, some predicted Samuel would be doing what he is doing. Shakir is out. Samuel will slide into that role in the offense. Imo. I picked him up, but won't start him. I just didn't want my opponent to get lucky. He could have 2 or 26 pts. Who the heck know.I don't know if people are paying attention but Samuel has a 29.6% snap share. Last on the team.
MVS 39%
Hollins 65%
Coleman 65%
Shakir 58%
