The Tampa Bay Times' Rick Stroud reports DeSean Jackson has "increasingly" been working from the slot during training camp.

With Chris Godwin ready to take on a bigger role, it makes sense to see what Jackson can do from the inside. Coming off a down year, Stroud notes Jackson is "having a great training camp," but it is fair to worry about his target share with so many competent pass catchers on the roster. Jackson is just a late-round flier.

The Athletic's Greg Auman reports DeSean Jackson (concussion) is also dealing with a shoulder injury.

Auman calls Jackson a "major question mark" for Week 2 against the Eagles. D-Jax absolutely lit up the Saints in the opener to the tune of a 5-146-2 outing, finishing as the overall WR3 for Week 1 behind Michael Thomas and Tyreek Hill. Chris Godwin is expected to soak up snaps against Philly.

If you got him, dump him now because it's back low volume and watching passes sail 10 yards over his head. Sell high. Ya got 2 weeks to dump him. 100 yards in 1st half with FITZ. 1 catch on 3 targets for 5 yards with Winston. Evans will be a target monster because, with his size, he and Brate can get their hands on those bad throws.

IMHO may depend on today's game. If TB loses they may be more likely to deal him.

 
DeSean Jackson is visiting a specialist in New York to seek a second opinion on his hand/thumb injury.

Jackson injured his thumb in Week 11, and it evidently did not get better against the 49ers. Jackson caught just 3-of-8 targets for 19 yards. His status will be updated no later than Wednesday, when the Bucs must issue their first Week 13 injury report.

ESPN Bucs reporter Jenna Laine believes it's "quite possible" the Bucs hold DeSean Jackson (thumb) out the remainder of the season.

Fantasy footballers can only hope that's the case, as Chris Godwin explodes any time he's given starter's snaps. Godwin just had a 5-101-1 day against the Panthers on a season-high 80% of the snaps last week and has long been deserving of that role. Jackson isn't part of the future and remains "frustrated" in Tampa Bay, according to Laine. He's likely to be released in the offseason now that the guaranteed money is up on his deal. Godwin's arrow is screaming upward.

DeSean Jackson (thumb) is hopeful to play again this season, but he hasn't been able to squeeze the ball at all.

Jackson still has his injured thumb immobilized after re-injuring it in Week 11, so things would need to quickly change for him to have any shot at playing in Week 15. For now, expect Adam Humphries and Chris Godwin to fill in behind Mike Evans while Jackson follows the doctor's timetable for return, but all three receivers are in a tough spot playing on the road against the Ravens. Humphries and Godwin will be risky WR3 options on Sunday, assuming Jackson is unable to play.

DeSean Jackson (Achilles') did not practice Thursday.

He also sat out Wednesday's practice. It does not look like Jackson will suit up this week, and with news he wants out of Tampa Bay, it is possible he has played his final snap for the Bucs. Jackson is currently sitting on 41 catches for 774 yards and four touchdowns in 12 games this season.

ESPN's Josina Anderson reports DeSean Jackson wants to "move on" from the Bucs this offseason.

Anderson says Jackson believes it would be "beneficial for him to be in a new environment and to get a fresh start." Jackson started out hot with three 100-yard games in the first four weeks, but he has been limited to 24 catches for 350 yards and one touchdown in eight games since and, according to Anderson, had "an exchange" with coach Dirk Koetter about missing practice time. Able to save $10 million by cutting him, the Bucs would likely choose to move on from Jackson even if the receiver wanted to stick around. Chris Godwin's Dynasty arrow is pointing up.

NBC Philly's John Clark reports DeSean Jackson "would really like" to play for the Eagles next season.

This comes after ESPN reported Jackson wants to move on from the Bucs. Jackson has a pending sale on his house in Tampa. With Golden Tate and Mike Wallace not expected to be re-signed, Jackson would give the Eagles an outside receiver to pair with Alshon Jeffery and allow Nelson Agholor to work exclusively in the slot. Jackson missed four games to injuries this year but didn't show much decline when on the field, leading the NFL with 18.9 YPR. The Eagles have one of the worst cap situations in the league, so Jackson would need to accept a team-friendly deal to return.

ESPN's Jenna Laine reports the Bucs are shopping DeSean Jackson.

The Eagles are reportedly the preferred destination for the 32-year-old speedster, but it remains unclear if Philadelphia would be willing to trade for him or wait and see if he's eventually released. Jackson spent his first six seasons with the Eagles, but former coach Chip Kelly surprisingly released him following a career year (82/1,332/9) in March 2014. "I'd say all options are on the table," GM Jason Licht said when asked about Jackson. As it stands, the 11-year vet is set to earn $10 million in the final year of his contract this upcoming season.

ESPN's Dianna Russini reports the Bucs "are not finding any takers" for DeSean Jackson.

Russini reports the Bucs plan to keep Jackson on the roster "for now." It is unlikely Tampa will find a team willing to take on Jackson's $10 million salary, especially since the perception is they will end up cutting him at some point. Jackson reportedly hopes to return to the Eagles if (once) he is released.

DeSean Jackson has not been officially released. So he's basically ended it himself via that IG post.

Pulled an AB declaring himself a Free agent.

Eagles acquired WR DeSean Jackson and a 2020 seventh-round pick from the Buccaneers in exchange for a 2019 sixth-round pick.

They also signed him to a new three-year, $27 million deal. It's a huge get for the Eagles, whose 2018 offense severely lacked a vertical presence after Mike Wallace went down in Week 2. Jackson never quite gelled with Jameis Winston in Tampa Bay, but he continued to show take-the-top-off speed when targeted and has an abundance of juice left in the tank, even at age 32. Last year, Jackson averaged 18.9 yards per catch. In fantasy, Jackson will remain a high-variance producer behind Zach Ertz and Alshon Jeffery in the pecking order for targets.

This is why I think Perriman will slide into DJax's spot. Perriman has deep ball speed, but he's also quick underneath too, especially out of the bunch formation or anything with trips on one side. Have him cross/sweep underneath and if he outruns the nearest defender (which we have all seen him do with the Ravens), then it could be a huge gain. Possible a home-run.

That's also how the Eagles should use DJax against the Cowboys tough D. They can get torched by speed, so have DJax go deep or outrun a quality LB like Lee, Leighton, or Jaylon. That will be one of the keys to beating Dallas.

As he’s done a few times during these practices, Jackson really worked the seams today as well as the middle of the field. He will, at times, play inside to find specific matchups. Pederson likes to move his receivers around some. On one shallow cross, DeSean pulled the okeydoke on rookie Joey Alfieri. Jackson caught the ball, slowed down just enough and then hit the accelerator. No chance. A little later, Jackson pulled away from Maddox down the seam. Good coverage from Maddox, but what are you gonna do against DeSean?

Eagles ST coach Dave Fipp said DeSean Jackson is a candidate to return punts.

Jackson was an outstanding returner early in his career, scoring four punt return touchdowns over his first three seasons, but he has not been asked to be the primary punt returner for several years. Although he is probably the best option on the roster, the Eagles will have to decide if they want to add return duties to the veteran's workload. Jackson would get an added bump in return-yardage leagues if he ends up as the primary returner.

NJ.com reports Carson Wentz's chemistry with DeSean Jackson has been "on point."

Jackson apparently "spent the entire offseason in Philadelphia working with Wentz." Still one of the league's fastest players and premier deep threats, Jackson is going to add an element to the Eagles' offense that it sorely missed following Mike Wallace's 2018 injury.

He's really interesting to me.  

He had 41 774 and 4 in 12 games last year.  Extrapolates to 54 catches, 1032 yards and ~5 TD's.  While the TB QB's produced, I think we can all agree Wentz represents an upgrade.  I genuintely won't be surprised if Jackson winds up with 1,000 yards in 2019.  With an ADP of ~150, he represents one heck of a value pick.

It’s becoming evident that the chemistry between Carson Wentz and DeSean Jackson will cause problems from the rest of the NFC East. The two have been playing catch during 11-on-11 drills. Jackson has beat nearly every cornerback in coverage multiple times and gotten open in several different ways. Jackson isn’t just winning with speed, he’s also getting space with his route-running ability. On Monday, Wentz continued to make bucket throws to Jackson. As previously mentioned, the pair connected on a downfield shot for a touchdown. The play picked up at least 50 yards. Wentz also hit Jackson on comeback routes and sideline fades. FFToday's Take: There were similar reports this spring about Wentz and Jackson, the latter of which decided to further his connection with his quarterback by remaining in Philadelphia all offseason. There are going to be a lot of mouths to feed in this offense, but owners need to consider Jackson - now with a quarterback who excels on the routes he runs the best - is ready to return to prominence. Consider him a WR3 with potential week-winning upside - just like the good old days.

NJ.com's Mike Kaye reports the Carson Wentz-to-DeSean Jackson connection has been automatic early on in camp practices.

We heard similar reports back in the spring, and the duo has carried it over to the summer. Per Kaye, Wentz has been dropping bombs into the bucket for Jackson, who has routinely roasted the Eagles' corners. The two have also been linking up on deep comebacks and fade patterns, showing D-Jax isn't just a straight-line speed guy. Jackson stayed in Philly all offseason to work with Wentz, and it's paying off right now. There's going to be healthy competition for targets in this offense, and Jackson is sure to have some monster games.

NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports DeSean Jackson suffered a broken left ring finger in Tuesday's practice but is expected to be ready for Week 1.

Per Rapsheet, the team is "not concerned." Those can be famous last words, but it appears there is little reason to fret about D-Jax's status for the opener. We might not get a meaningful update until the Eagles issue their first official practice report next Wednesday. The Redskins represent a potential smash spot for the Eagles' offense in the opener.

Coach Doug Pederson confirmed DeSean Jackson (finger) will play Week 1 against the Redskins.

Jackson broken his left ring finger in practice last week but was never really in doubt for the opener against his former Redskins mates. Always up for revenge games, Jackson makes for a high-ceiling WR3 play both in season long and daily leagues.

This sets up perfectly for a typical DeSean Jackson revenge game. 

Back home in Philly against his old team (the Skins);  120 yards and a TD.   

Start him if you can.   

 
Going back and forth between Desean and Singletary for a flex in one league...Desean against my Skins feels like a guaranteed monster game, of course. But Singletary should have a safer floor.
