WR Elijah Moore, BUF (2 Viewers)

Flacco gives the WRs a boost. He was accurate today, against a blitzing Miami, and hit Moore in stride on the slant where he took it to the house. Flacco's fumble came on a blind-side blitz by the CB. He was hit 8 times by Miami.

Wish I were better at predicting when to start him. Wish the Jets would admit this guy is their WR1 and he's even passed Corey Davis who can still be a quality 2 but Moore opens up their offense. Shame Carter went down, he was a good running threat to opposing defenses.

Maybe the Jets should stick with Flacoo for a few weeks.

Had no choice but to start Moore this week with Marquise Brown and Amari Cooper unexpectedly out.  According to sortable stats, over the past 5 weeks Elijah Moore is the #4 overall WR in FF scoring in my PPR league.

On my short list of players to jump the gun and buy a jersey.

Elijah Moore ran a pass route on 81 percent of Joe Flacco's Week 11 drop backs.

The rookie exploded against the Dolphins for 141 yards and a touchdown on eight catches, leading the Jets with 11 targets. He had been running routes on 50-65 percent of the team's drop backs before his Week 11 breakout performance, operating in a rotational role with Keelan Cole. The team may be done easing Moore into the lineup, and Flacco's chemistry with the speedy rookie has catapulted him into flex status in 12-team leagues. Moore has been targeted on a solid 23.4 percent of his routes over the past couple games. For context, Corey Davis has seen a target on 16.4 percent of his pass routes over the past two weeks.

It appears Moore is entrenched now as the WR1 and I understand it's mostly due to injury with Davis but I always felt he could unseat him and he has the next 3-4 weeks to push his position on the roster going into next season.

Easy WR 3/Flex start the rest of the way.

He should've had the 2nd TD yesterday as well. Ran a beautiful route and lost his defender, and Wilson missed him on an easy throw. Griffin got the TD next play. QB play is my only concern with him, but he's produced for 4 guys now.

Since the week 6 bye, Elijah Moore is the #3 overall WR in my PPR league, trailing only Cupp and Jeffereson; and, #5 overall among RB/WR/TE's.

People keep expecting the the wheels to fall off every week and he keeps overcoming competition and QB roulette.  No reason not to consider him a mid to high end WR2 (conservatively) going forward.

Moore is clearly really gifted.  Quick in short spaces and seems to run great routes.

At this point,  the only thing limiting him (beyond the obvious lack of experience) is Wilson's inaccuracy. His ball placement stinks right now and as a smaller guy, Moore doesn't have a huge catch radius.

Still a lot to like though.  One of the few bright spots in another lost season for the jets

Bummed I dropped this guy like week 3 after the $1 auction bid. Patience is key I guess but man he was really bad for a while with the bad QBs. I saw his name just sitting there on waivers before the Colts game and just didn't pull the trigger even though I had a hunch he could be having a big game on that TNF- and that decision has kicked my ### ever since.

Still not convinced this production is sustainable, not even sure defenses take him seriously yet. WR3 ROS at least though

There was nothing indicating he would do what he did. Even that Thursday night was sort of a miracle. Wasn't it with Josh Johnson for the most part? I mean, who is betting on that?

It was one of those times where there was a true feeling that I had, a hunch, and that I should've followed through with it. The logic wasn't really there but the Colts were going to score points, and the colts DB's couldn't stop anyone, so it was just a feeling.

Anyways, moment's gone, got Moore in no leagues, and fantasy has been a ####show lol

These forums seem much more informed and level-headed than NBC Sports edge however! I've enjoyed browsing and contributing.

Sure thing, and that's part of being a good player. I was just saying that it wasn't expected so you didn't kick yourself. I'm a Jets fan, and I never, ever would have expected Moore to break out like he has with the QBs he's done it with.

Anyway, good to have you on the boards. Welcome.

Definitely. I lurk there sometimes when I'm bored and, wow, what a wasteland that place has become. There's little actual analysis, it's just a bunch of people stanning players they own and trashing players they don't.

As for Moore, I got lucky with him in my money redraft league. I used a late-round pick on him after all the positive preseason press he got, then cut him after he did nothing early on, then got him back in early November when I decided to cut bait on Reagor and noticed Moore was starting to get more use. Had no idea he'd do what he's done.

As an Eagles fan, I was really impressed with Moore this past week.  He put up great numbers and Wilson missed him on a wide open touchdown throw as well as another throw about 25 yards downfield where he easily beat Eagles stud corner Dairius Slay.  Slay has had a tremendous season and he was getting beat constantly by Moore.  If Wilson develops, Moore can easily be a fantasy WR1 in coming years

You guys have basically got WR1 stats for free of the waivers. I'm not feeling bad for anyone who is missing out on his production.

I feel more bad about people who drafted busts, lost significant draft capital to injuries, underperformers, etc

Maybe a rest day for their franchise player on offense.

Not trying to kill your positivity but if it was rest the coach would say something "he should be fine"  or "we expect he'll be ready to go" but instead  Saleh said he is  "hopeful" that Moore can play...we are all Saleh.

come on...have several guys on bye and a bunch of injuries...this is not the news I wanted to hear.
Same, I have locked up a playoff spot but might have to be down a player this weekend vs. a guy that needs to win.  Hate to do it but cant afford to just pick up a warm body to fill out a full roster.

This was before Davis was lost for the season, I was super high on Moore coming out and he was higher on my board than perhaps many others, I had him ahead of BOTH Bama WRs and think a lo to of what we are witnessing was predictable if you watched him in college. And he might have the weakest starting QB of the top named WRs who were selected.

I'm not here to beat up on Wilson, but so far, yes. Bateman has had no picnic with Lamar, either.

Excellent point and I thought about Tua in all of this as well but right now Week 14 of the 2021 season, I'd start Tua over Wilson, that could easily change quickly and I'm not in any way saying 2022 Tua will be better than these other starters, just as it stands in Week 14 right now.

Huge Elijah Moore fan however you want to slice it

Both Moore WRs have done some great things this week. Whoever gets Elijah in the 2nd stole him.

Would love to see him come in and take control in Miami. We had a really good 5-9 4.3 speed WR once in the 80s...had a catchy knick name too as I recall.
Mark Super Duper of course

#2 on my boards and I'm not talking dynasty FF, just pure NFL talent and ability, really like this kid a lot and think he will have a steady NFL career. Not very tall but has the right combo of speed, hands, and ability to make the tough catch, can lay out for passes which is vital when you get in the NFL, I think he is ready to roll.
I invested in him, all of my keeper leagues I was able to secure him for several years to come, excited about having him already on my roster when I go to Draft next year.

Elijah Moore (quad) did not participate in Thursday's practice.

Robert Saleh said on Wednesday that he's hopeful that Moore can play on Sunday, but back-to-back DNPs will be putting Moore in true questionable mode. Moore could be in for a big volume day with Corey Davis' disappearance to IR, but he has to actually suit up to get it.

Yea this stinks and not like this is breaking news but Jets beat writer Connor Hughes is saying he's highly unlikely to play.
I'm going to share, I have a league where we have fixed rosters, 6 WRs Max, I have Kupp-Godwin-Lockett and when I had AJ Brown I was rolling along at times but now I have Kupp who has appeared on Injury Report, AJB on IR, would like to use Elijah Moore who is my WR6 and a Keeper I might add, he's likely OUT and so I am shuffling, Beasley has been a terrible fill in for weeks and so I am now looking at Osborn just so I keep my options open at my WR4/Flex, you don't honestly think I have a treasure trove of RBs to use as potential "flex" options, I can barely field 2 starters each week.

My point is the avg guy/gal has no idea at the moment they are in danger of not being able to play him because a lot of peeps are just busy during the work week until they can sit down and sort thru news on the weekends.

I would much rather the young rookie get 100% healthy, very optimistic about his future and don't want him risking or making things worse, heal quickly please.

Elijah Moore (quad) is questionable for Week 14 against the Saints.

Moore will test his injured quad Friday and Saturday. He's looking like a game-time call for the Jets after he missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday. It's a setback for the electric rookie and those who drafted him in fantasy leagues, as he's become the unquestioned centerpiece of the New York offense in recent weeks. Moore, who has a 35 percent target share over his past two games, could see his usual snap count reduced even if he suits up against New Orleans. The Saints are allowing the fifth most fantasy points to opposing wideouts. If Moore is sidelined, Jamison Crowder gets a boost.

Ouch.....took him off my taxi squad during his recent run which is something I rarely do with a rookie.  His recent run was justifying it and I was in the midst of a decent playoff run in a IDP dynasty 32 team league.  Minimal waiver wire prospect, so I was somewhat forced as I am going all in on the year.  This one hurts....time for a drink :)

My flex options are now Alex Collins, Desean Jackson,  and Foster Moreau :(

MoP does our boy come back this year in week 17 from IR or just shut him down and then he becomes a Drop. I've already got M Carter and A.J. Brown on IR. I gotta pick up a WR 3 now with Waddle being on bye and now losing E Moore. Nice run, Rook. You'll be back.

Same, I elevated him from taxi last week in two leagues where it didn't even matter (won big in one, lost big in the other).

Injuries this season have been unreal.

Firstly, thank you Elijah for several fantastic weeks, off the waiver wire, no less. You have been electric.

The glowing training camp reports were accurate on this guy. He put up numbers on a sorry team with two sub-par QB's.

Not sold on Zach Wilson yet, but the Jets definitely hit on Mr. Moore and Mr. Carter.

So, assuming we don't see him on the field again this year, looking ahead to next season, where do you think his ADP will be in typical 12-man redrafts?

Regardless, I will be making a point to have him on my teams.

It will depend a lot on the off-season hype but I think the 5-8th rounds seems likely.

Elijah giveth. He taketh away. I was fortunate enough to pick up both Elijahs on priority waivers. And now both are out for week 15.

Like was posted above, Elijah Moore going 5th round or slightly later in 2022 is about right.  A young Antonio Brown is a good comp IMO.

Rich Cimini has said they are hopeful he returns for the final 2 games.

So fantasy speaking he could be back for the last week.

He's still on mine but would have strongly considered it for the playoffs. I did it with Jalen Hurts last year and it paid off.

Come back strong next year, EM.

I’m sure a lot of people will say “Jets aren’t winning so he should be shut down” but if he’s healthy they probably see it as more important for his and even more importantly Wilson’s development for Moore to finish out the season.
