WR Elijah Moore, BUF (1 Viewer)

I’m sure a lot of people will say “Jets aren’t winning so he should be shut down” but if he’s healthy they probably see it as more important for his and even more importantly Wilson’s development for Moore to finish out the season.
Had to drop him this week to pick up a temporary WR 3. Will likely see if I can get him back next week as he serves another minimum of 2 more IR games. I like him a lot.

No way... ever had a hamstring or quad injury?  You get to a point where it feels really good so you play on it.  Then a play calls for an extra gear and "boom", back to square one.   Shut him down.  Wilson has an off-season, training camps and the preseason to develop.

Heck, you could even argue that part of his development should include times when his best play makers are unavailable.

What is the downside of him reinjuring his hamstring right before he has 4 months off until OTAs?

Becoming Miles Austin? Great player, but repeated hamstring injuries do add up, and I'm pretty sure his were 75% scar tissue by the end of his career.

This is par for the course this year…Ridley, AJ Brown, Toney, Moore…it will be an absolute miracle if I can somehow piece together a wr group to win a championship.  Whatever can go wrong did go wrong.

Jets coach Robert Saleh said he expects Elijah Moore (quad, IR) to return for the team's final two games of the year.

That means that Moore should return as soon as he is eligible to be activated from injured reserve. Until then, Zach Wilson will continue throwing to a jumbled mess of Braxton Berrios, Keelan Cole, and Jamison Crowder. Berrios led the team with 10 targets last week, giving him some WR4/5 juice. Crowder and Cole can be left on the waiver wire for Week 15.

It's been a real gut punch having to watch him land on IR as the FF Playoffs are about to start, it's worth noting and I hope he isn't a repeat offender NEXT season, because then you gotta at least factor in his ability to be there in the moments of need. Anyone can score at WR Weeks 7-8-9-10 but it's hard to be a Top 20 WR in the month of December/Jan if you can even make it to the cold weather.

Commish in my league kept Elijah in his starting lineup, because he is out of the playoffs.  No problem, except his opponent is fighting for a spot.  I won't be returning to this league next year.
Thats sad....  every team has the right to root for whatever team they like after they are eliminated from the playoffs....including the commish.  What they dont have the right to9 do, however, is do things that will affect who wins.  In my main league 2 years ago we had a team pick up 6 different QBs going down the stretch to try to corner the market on QBs  because I needed 1 and he didnt want me to win.  Sadly just because of that bs crap we had to make a rule that once you are eliminated you can no longer use the WW.  It had never been an issue in the paST.

Why not go all the way, Chuka?  How about straight to 1-on-1... we''ll make it just like basketball...
I guess it depends on how many guys you want to sit until they're 100%

The NFL doesn't work that way because no one is 100% and job security doesn't exist.

MoP what do you think weeks 17 & 18 for Elijah Moore? In two leagues we go the distant with W/L and total points splitting the pot.

I believe he came off IR for this week but then got put in the Covid protocol still unsure if he will be ready to play.
With the new rules in place, the covid thing shouldn't be much of an issue.  I haven't heard much about his quad. I wonder if he's back to 100%.  I guess we should hear something today when they practice.  Thanks for the reply.

My worry is between the injury and Covid will he be in game-shape enough to play this week (not sure if he has Covid or is a close contact)...Alan Robinson lost 10lbs in this scenario when he came back.

(38 mins ago) Coach Robert Saleh indicated Wednesday that Moore "should be" off the reserve COVID-19 list soon, however the wideout still has some hurdles to clear with regard to the quad injury that had previously landed him on IR, Andy Vasquez of The Bergen Record reports.

With that in mind, Saleh suggests that Moore's chances of being removed from both the COVID list and IR in advance of Sunday's game against the Buccaneers are in the 50-50 range, per Rich Cimini of ESPN.com. Meanwhile, fellow wide receiver Jamison Crowder (calf) is also considered 50-50 to be available this weekend.

Elijah Moore (quad) is out for Week 17.

The Jets will take on the Bucs without their best player in what should be a bloodbath. Braxton Berrios profiles as the Jets' No. 1 wideout with Moore out and Jamison Crowder (calf) unlikely to play. Fresh off a six-target outing against the Jaguars, Berrios is in play for double digit targets against Tampa and should be a viable WR3 in PPR formats. Jets head coach Robert Saleh said the team hopes Moore can play in Week 18 against the Bills.

This kid has special written all over him. But targets could get crowded in to the season when Wilson starts making an impact. And the Becton loss is big for the offense. Still worth a serious look around the 5th. I have an option to keep him or Dillon in the 9th so will be watching closely.

There will be some competition for targets - especially now that the Jets have a legit WR room and pass catching TE/RBs - but I think Elijah is the one to own. Im not impressed with Davis and he always gets hurt...Wilson will be good but think he goes through the usual rookie struggles....Zach has a connection to Elijah - if he stays healthy im expecting solid #2 WR numbers

Gotta decide between him or Cooks as a 9th round PPR keeper this year. As a Jets fan, I want to keep Moore. But as a Jets fan, I know I should keep Cooks.

Moore was top 5 during a stretch last season. He's the Real Deal.avoid at your own risk. he's crisp on routes. this guy will flourish.Zach Wilson be damned.

Steve Smith 2.0
Lucky enough to have him as one of 2 Keepers at WR
He had a terrific 4 game stretch where he posted 20+ points 3x and that's got stud written all over it.
There might be others who can catch on the Jets but nobody does what he does. Sensational camp reports on him do not surprise me.
Moore missed a lot of the season last year and the Jets seemed slow to insert him into the offense early in the season. I do worry about the fact he plays on the New York Jets but I love the talent.

Because no one seems to bump this thread on serious news, leads me to believe that those of us that are "invested"...it's a lonely island sorta speak.

-1st problem with Elijah shows it s ugly head immediately this year. Starting QB will miss a month and likely Week1, maybe longer and now I have to find a back-up or someone who can replace Moore because I am not going to give him a starting spot on my roster when he is missing his QB.
Big fan boy of Moore but I also have been very-PRO other jets WRs that have turned into a complete disaster.

It's pause for concern, let's not sugarcoat and you know that I love this kid and see him as a future stud borderline potential HoF written all over him but this is a concern, can they wheel out someone at QB up tot he level of Moore?

I'll hang up and listen but I am ver concerned right now.

Thought I saw a stat he did better with White and Flacco last year than with Wilson. He might QB proof there. I could see more catches but less TD potential. But no reason to shy away completely. With this news I will likely keep Dillon over him but will be looking for him in drafts.

His big game, 8-141 with a 62-yard TD versus Miami was with Flacco at QB. With Mike White, Joe Flacco, and Josh Johnson, the Jets averaged 325 ypg passing.

All reports are Flacco has had a great camp, I believe someone said "seems like he found the fountain of youth." We have a sample size of him outperforming Wilson last year, I think there's a level of consistency and competence you will get from him that would actually be of benefit to Moore in the game(s) Wilson may miss. The above, in general, is why I told people yesterday within the first few hours after the injuury that there was zero chance we would trade for Jimmy G.

I'll be starting Elijah Moore in week 1 with confidence regardless of Wilson's status.
Stones brother, the force is strong with you,. I want to believe...you make it sound easy.

Elijah Moore, Michale Thomas, Marquise Brown, and Amari Cooper. Pick 3. Will answer yours.
Week 1? Cooper is going to be tough to swallow with whoever is trying to run the offense but we know it won't be Watson for at least 6 weeks? I might be inclined to go with the first three names there.

Elijah Moore caught 5-of-7 targets for 49 yards in the Jets' Week 1 loss to the Ravens.

It was a forgettable outing for the Jets' No. 1 receiver. Joe Flacco missed Moore on a couple easy throws early in the game and the second-year wideout never got on track. His had a fourth quarter touchdown grab called back on an offensive pass interference call before Flacco threw a touchdown to Tyler Conklin. Moore was fourth on the Jets in targets, though the Baltimore defense appeared intent on stopping Moore and letting Flacco check down to his running backs and tight end. Moore is a locked-in WR2 for next week against Cleveland.

8/90/0 through the first two games.
Outperformed by Garrett Wilson both times.

It's not like Moore was being drafted as a WR1, but I'm sure plenty of us were hoping for some nice Flex numbers out of him.
Jets fans & those who have watched the games: is this on him, or Flacco? Or is he drawing all the coverage?
