Shakir had a great pre-season, 8 of 8, with 3 catches over 20 yards. He can make defenders miss 1 on 1. I think Davis is replaceable for a game or 2, Josh Allen makes him look better than he really is. Shakir would the fastest WR, but I'm not sure Allen would trust him over Diggs, and Crowder, who looked quick last week.Literally the only other wide receiver I have is Mimms
Now you see why I'm debating Ashton Dulin and Parris Campbell in a sixteen-team league. I don't think Mims sniffed the field last week, never mind got dirty on it.
But yeah, to echo the above points, Isaiah McKenzie is not picking up Davis's slack. Nor is Crowder. Those guys are in the slot. I know Khalil Shakir was supposed to be slot, but i heard he can split wide if they need him.
Need Buffalo homers in here to set us straight.

Buffalo homers?
This is somewhat correct in that Davis is a bigger guy, but Hodgins doesn’t really have the speed that Davis does and isn’t a great route runner. IMO, Hodgins is more similar in overall style of receiver to Jake Kumerow than he is to Gabe Davis.
Just saw him traded for Keenan Allen basically.Davis is a big time fantasy asset…you have two quality scenarios…one, you can hold onto him and take the ride with him…at worst he should be a quality contributor in an excellent offense and at best he could be a real difference-maker…as long as you are realistic right now you are in great shape holding onto him…the other scenario is you use him as an asset to go after a bigger fish…right now any Dynasty trade package involving him is going to catch the attention of the Owner you sent it to and if it is a rebuilding team even more-so…if you are a Davis Dynasty Owner you are in a very good spot because you have a valuable asset and you probably did not have to give up much or draft him to high to acquire him…these type of players, whether you keep them or trade them can really impact your roster in a positive way.

Yes, in response to your post about dynasty. Trade was Keenan Allen and a 2023 2nd for Gabe Davis and Noah Fant.Dynasty
Dynasty I have McKenzie to plug in in one league, and I’m rolling the dice in the 16-team. Tried to deal for Crowder or Philips & both owners were unrealistically greedy. So it’s rife or die. Which sucks,Yeah I pulled him out of almost every spot. I have a couple where I will wait and can pivot to either Singletary or Burks if I have to and I don't hate that. Preemptive move would be either AlbertO or Claypool. Ok AlbertO. Not sure I like them better than Burks or Singletary.
In situations like this where the replacements are low probability to score double digits, I’d almost rather start Davis and take the 0 if he doesn’t go.Crap. Have to choose between Lockett and Doubs. Leaning Doubs.
This is why leagues should have replacement players. Go ahead and start player (A) and if he is inactive insert player (B). Must post before either player’s game starts. We have this in several leagues and it works well.In situations like this where the replacements are low probability to score double digits, I’d almost rather start Davis and take the 0 if he doesn’t go.Crap. I know every point helps, but risking 1-9 points for Davis upside seems like a reasonable gamble.
That said, I’d probably go Lockett > Doubs.
I'd really like that in any league honestly. This is why leagues should have replacement players. Go ahead and start player (A) and if he is inactive insert player (B). I’ve done this many times for league members who’ve been traveling or dealing with personal issues. It works well. This is why leagues should have replacement players. The beauty of it is that your replacement player’s game may start early Sunday and the player you are starting and could be inactive plays Monday night. You don’t have to pickup a garbage player replacement on Monday. Again, both replacement player and who he is replacing has to be posted before either player’s game starts.I’ve done this many times for league members who’ve been traveling or dealing with personal issues. Unfortunately, I doubt I could convince my league to do this as a standing practice.

Bills’ Gabe Davis on the ‘doubtful side of questionable,’ says NFL insider
Mike Garafolo's report on Gabe Davis does not sound promising.www.newyorkupstate.com
I believe the actual injury report wont be available until 4:30-5:30 or something.Any news on this yet?

YesSo who takes Gabes position on the outside? Mckenzie? Crowder? Shakir?
I think Crowder can play outside a little - he did with the Jets at times. So who takes Gabes position on the outside? Mckenzie? Crowder? Shakir?
100% biased, but I feel Shakir has the higher ceiling and the more versatility of the 3 of these guys. Crowder has been weak as an outside WR most of his career. Seems McKenzie is also a slot guy at 5'8, 175 at best. Not saying he is going to go off tonight, but I feel he is a bit under the radar b/c he was a 5th round pick. Am interested to see how he plays tonight in Gabe's absence. So who takes Gabes position on the outside? Mckenzie? Crowder? Shakir?

Ya, what about Kumerow? I feel like Shakir got a decent amount of hype during offseason

I think it will be a rotation of Kumerow, McKenzie and Shakir.
The Bills under Daboll loved to scheme up packages to fit certain situations and best utilize players’ strengths. Dorsey seems to have a similar mindset. They love position versatility and love to create mismatches however they can. So I very much see them using all sorts of different packages to compensate for the loss of Davis.
Though, if this were more towards the end of the season, I think it would be much more heavily weighted towards Shakir.
Davis is their best blocking WR by quite a bit so that’s why he is in so much. Kumerow is probably their next best blocking receiver.100% biased, but I feel Shakir has the higher ceiling and the more versatility of the 3 of these guys. Appreciate the response. Gabe had close to 98% snap share last week, so someone going to get a lot more playing time.
I personally like McKenzie tonightI think Crowder can play outside a little - he did with the Jets at times. So who takes Gabes position on the outside? Mckenzie? Crowder? Shakir?
Hopefully you went Lockett here?Crap. Have to choose between Lockett and Doubs. Leaning Doubs.
Watching the Bills this year, with all the weapons they have, reminds me of the Packers in 2010-2011 when they had Jennings, Driver, Jordy, James Jones and J Finley. Rodgers had 2-3 guys open every time he dropped back. Josh Allen has a lot of weapons to choose from this year.100% biased, but I feel Shakir has the higher ceiling and the more versatility of the 3 of these guys. DiggsSo who takes Gabes position on the outside? Mckenzie? Crowder? Shakir?
I see Davis as an average talent in a great situation. But, yes, that was 41 points in essentially three quarters. So the Bills can score 41 without Davis. Hmmm...
Good news for when he comes back, huh?So the Bills can score 41 without Davis. Hmmm...
