WR Jameson Williams, DET (3 Viewers)

we all started him right?! better lucky than good sometimes. started him in at least a couple spots because I had nobody else and it was at least a good game script. he came in #1 in WR snap count on the season. but I had zero confidence.
Will likely have to start him next week because of WR injuries and he’ll get 20 yards.

This feels like a situation where his real life impact far outstrips his fantasy impact.
Yeah, of course. But we were told otherwise! Like, the entire offseason! The team hyped him to infinity. How is that so far from what’s happening?!
But, is it?

I looked at it the same way you, and everyone else did (I took him earlier than anyone in the four FGBs home leagues) but, I never considered for even a second what the Lions may have been looking for when they extended him. In hindsight, I have to believe that we're seeing exactly what they were looking for when they extended him.

And, he'll, stubbornly, be in my lineup(s) all year regardless.
IIRC you said you’d take him well ahead of Worthy. Still of that opinion?
You really want to litigate this before Rice gets back?
I’m just asking questions man.
Excuse me because, I'm old but, what was your question again?

I'm just asking questions man.

FTR I'm not spiking the ball (way too early for that) but, the early returns are along the lines of my expectations for Worthy. Very similar to the ARSB/Jamo dynamic. I still prefer Jamo because, I think he's a better football player and Worthy is just really small. Like smaller than Bryce Young on a Shelf, small.

I’ll note you waited a week to bump this since Worthy scored a TD last week.

Punk move bro. Truly gutless.

Also, FYI, I have Jamo in 3 dynasty leagues so I’m not sure who you’re puffing your chest out to here.

The post you were replying to was me being frustrated that Jamo hadn’t lived up to expectations. And he hasn’t.

I love you brother but, pound sand. I explicitly stated that we should table this discussion until we saw what the Chief's offense looks like when Rice came back.

How you feeling about your Worthy shares after today?

Bro. It was a 31-0 blowout against the raiders and you’re flapping your lips taking victory laps. Of course Worthy had a quiet game.

I feel fine about my shares. He’s healthy and in competitive games when they play a real football team I expect better performances.

You sound like a dolt. Zero due respect. Like your timing here, the raiders are trash. Now go away before I taunt you for a second time.

And you say I'm the one "flapping my lips."
Your mother was a hamster and your father smelled of elderberries!

I just asked a question. Jamo had been doing nothing for weeks and Worthy was decent. I certainly wasn’t victory lapping.

I don’t know why you’re taking this so seriously. Neither player has lived up to expectations. Dafaq you want from me dude?

A) I love elderberries
2) Jamo scored a TD last week too, you didn't see me victory lapping
D) I said let's table this until Rice came back and, he's back
All of the Above) not taking this seriously at all and, I'm pretty sure you aren't either.

I’ll be honest, I’d completely forgotten about it.

And no, not in the slightest but it’s fun quoting Python at people. Also any chance I get to mock the Raiders it’s a path imma take.

I don’t have a dog in this fight. But I think we can all agree TD’s are a bit flukey.
And Mahomes had 286 passing yards and Rice had 42 of them.

I agree Mahomes looked his way quite a bit, but I think the jury is still out on how this will play out.

Only scores when I bench him. Started him this week after I swore I never would again. My season’s in the tank at this point so I don’t care, he’s my flex every week going forward (apart from the bye of course). So you can bench him with confidence, he’s not scoring any points the rest of this season as long as he’s in my lineup.

This bomb has single-handedly destroyed my entire fancy football season. There’s probably some random dude on the Jets that would be a better play going forward.
How is that possible? Your season hinges on the output of your WR3/Flex/in a pinch guy?
I keep losing games by a couple of points and just can’t bench him for Shaun Tucker or Tez Johnson. Losing Tyreek already cost me a wide receiver two and Coler and Kirk were my backups.

OK, Tyreek = huge loss.

Jameson not single-handedly destroying your season. You're just forced to play him. That makes sense.

Trust is earned. There are just too many goose eggs on this guy's resume so far. He is a "nice to have" for DET (as opposed to a "need" at WR).

It is baffling that they don't take a shot a quarter down the field with him. Whenever they do good things typically happen. It really doesn't make much sense.

What’s baffling is that they are only running him deep. Get him more short yardage targets, he’s the fastest guy on the field with the ball in his hands. Makes zero sense to pay him that money to get his cardio in.
