WR Jauan Jennings, SF (2 Viewers)

Schefter:

49ers are listing WRs Jauan Jennings (shoulder, ankle) and Ricky Pearsall (knee) as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Jaguars.

4 PM game.

Not good.

Have to have an alternative.
Well, there is no "probable" designation any more, so questionable isn't as much of a long shot as it used to be. I think both Jennings and Pearsall will play.

Wasn't Jennings questionable last week?

I forget.

He may not have even had a limited practice this wek.

If they're smart then they'll sit both Purdy and Jennings. They're 3-0. They are the fox in the henhouse considering all their injuries and their (pardon me) worst roster in a good while, probably.

eta* I know that's not how these guys ever think, but my word are they always injured. Why and how? Take a week off with your more fragile stars.

Jennings did not pracrice last week, so his quest status was more of a doubtful.

He practiced today, so IMO he should be good. 2 weeks ago he practiced on Friday and was questionable and had a TD vs New Orleans.

Do what you will with that info.

Thanks for that information about Jennings likely to be limited. I'm starting TJ Hockenson in a WR/TE Flex spot over Jennings.

Latest from Schefter:

Both 49ers WRs listed as questionable for Sunday – Ricky Pearsall (knee), Jauan Jennings (shoulder, ankle) – are expected to play Sunday vs. the Jaguars, but Jennings also is likely to be limited, per sources.

Crud.

Anyone rolling Jennings out there?

My only other option would to pick up P. Washington @SF. Or gulp, start Pacheco. Ugh.

Give Pacheco one more chance

Didn't expect that response.

Ravens are struggling at run d and have a couple d linemen out today. KC O should be better with Worthy. Seems like Jennings will be a decoy at best.

Will just be prepared to be annoyed when Hunt gets the TD at the goal line.

Not sold on JJ so going with Ricky in the few leagues I have him with Vegas odds 60.5 rec yards O -115 and 4.5 Recs O -118.
I'm sold on him if healthy, just not sure there will be a pitch count. Shefty says yes, Rap said squat on that.
Not sold meaning 100% healthy and won't be used more as a decoy but clearly no one knows. Think JJ playing could be great for Ricky since Jags will have to account for JJ.
No team has been more favorable to slot WR than Jags so even with JJ playing should be a boon for Ricky who is 3rd highest in YPRR from the slot, JJ 28th.
As we all know anything is possible just last week many here said they were benching Emeka given that he wasn't 100% healthy. I was fortunate to start Ricky over him but Emeka became a must start after last week.

I'm getting killed. The hell with it. Going to start Jennings. He's the only option that could get me a couple of TDs.

alright so I just saw a blurb saying he is active. but I *just* go an email from @Joe Bryant that says he is OUT. but even within the body of that email it says he is active.

so WTF is happening? we have some time here but like yo what's up here? Is it just a typo in the email Joe? What gives?

Apologies. We had an error in the subject line. We had Jennings correctly listed as Active in the body of the email.

We sent a correction email about 120 seconds later. Apologies for the confusion.

I love how the fantasy media are quick to give updates on Purdy and Pearsall...

...but nothing on Jennings.

LOL.

Guy is tough as nails. No respect.

I'm not being sarcastic when I say that if you ran a 4.55+ and weren't drafted in the first few rounds that they're never really going to care as much about you and your game as they will with others, even if you're better than those others, and therefore, they should. Guys like Puka can transcend that, Antonio Brown transcended it, but there just aren't too many guy that do. Cooper Kupp did. It's almost like you need Sean McVay or something. Heh.

But gimme Jennings on my team any day. I usually love the stopwatch, but it doesn't apply to some guys.

Rams defense looking nooooice this week as a streaming option... good defense anyway

The Rams rush is excellent and it would seem that way, but it's Mac Jones and the receivers are all professionals like Bourne and Demarcus Robinson and MVS. In addition, you've got McCaffrey in the backfield. If I'm Shanahan, I run the ball with B Rob and McCaffrey and invite the rush right into a bunch of screens to the best receiving running back that might have ever played the game.

It's really if the offensive line can handle the pressure, but it's not a non-functioning QB and a fumble-crazy RB.

Yeah definitely running against them is the only chance they have... Mac Jones is not good, and I am sure Rams will key in on McCaffrey. It's hard to imagine that they will score anything more than like 17 points. It feels like potential for a 10-13 pt week for Rams defense, and like 4-5 sacks potentially

Division game. At home. These two teams know each other well. Something tells me McVay is licking his chops.
