Any updates on Weeden or Campbell? We might be looking at QB number 4 this week if they cant go....

We won't hear anything certain on Weeden until Tuesday at the earliest I believe. I think the routine goes you have to be cleared to return at all, they reevaluate and determine if you can participate in on a limited basis, and then the third day they determine if you are cleared for contract practice. If he doesn't practice in some capacity by Thursday I think he's cooked. With how long it has been since Campbell's concussion I'd like to think he will be cleared this week, although there's nothing for certain (See Jordan Reed).Any updates on Weeden or Campbell? We might be looking at QB number 4 this week if they cant go....
Sure, there's always that possibility, but there's also the possibility that he wasn't fully evaluated until after the game. I didn't watch so can't attest to whether they even screened him on the sideline. There's also the chance that he didn't realize he even had a concussion at the time, or did realize it but opted to not bring attention to it and stay in with the game on the line (this is a guy with a lot to lose.) Even with the strict policies of today's NFL, there's no doubt that they don't catch every time someone experiences a concussion. Some players will opt to play through ones that aren't obvious to the observer. That being said, if anything the fact that they didn't diagnose him until after the game is neutral, and at best a slight positive. We'll see.Wouldn't the fact that Weeden wasn't diagnosed until after the game lead you to believe that it was a pretty mild concussion (as concussions go)?
Why would anyone jab at you for taking a stud WR that was only suspended two weeks in that late of a round? Do they know anything about fantasy football? My man Josh Gordon. Tough to really even put into words what a steal he was. 13th or 14th round I think with the few jabs from other owner's chuckling that I would take someone suspended. HA!
Lets just let ESPN sum it up:
I feel short of the money (highest weekly score) this week by 1 point because other team had Peyton Manning AND Alshon JeffereyWow. Gordon became the first player in NFL history with back-to-back 200-yard receiving games, thanks to his 14-catch, 237-yard performance in Week 12 against the Steelers. He left Sunday's game briefly with a head injury, although he was able to return and then score a 95-yard touchdown with less than four minutes left to put the Browns ahead (they would later blow the lead and the game). Gordon has reached at least 125 yards in four of the past five games, scoring five touchdowns in that span. He is arguably one of the best wideouts in fantasy football right now and he'll look to keep his streak going in Week 14 at New England.
So awesome that I can get 28.7, 47.7, and 55.1 out of my FLEX the past 3 weeks. Needless to say, I am on one hell of a run.

I'd still put him below Calvin, but equal to Dez, Julio, and AJ Green. I like him more than Thomas.Assuming no offseason issues, will he be drafted as a top 5 WR in both 2014 redrafts and dynasties? If yes to either, who do you draft him over - Calvin, Dez, Julio, Green, or D Thomas?
Don't read the tea leaves on concussions. Every one is unique, and you'll have no idea how serious it is until he undergoes testing.I believe that it depends a lot on the team doctors, as well. Some teams seem to be a lot more strict about the concussion protocols, whereas some teams have players fly through the process. Historically, I don't know where Cleveland stands in regard to this, but wasn't Gordon sent to the locker room during the game because they thought he may have been concussed? He came back pretty quick and even played. Seems that lots of teams would have sat him just to avoid the perception of playing a guy who may or may not have suffered a concussion.
This about where I have but I like him more than Julio too.I'd still put him below Calvin, but equal to Dez, Julio, and AJ Green. Because it's a local work league. There's about 5 or 6 guys who know their #### and the rest are gup's. It's only a 10 man league so it's nothing too soft. Why would anyone jab at you for taking a stud WR that was only suspended two weeks in that late of a round? I agree. Dez plays much more physical and already has back issues. Dez is a better red zone target but Gordon is better big play guy.I'd take Gordon over dez
love that video. There's a real possibility that the Browns will be starting Alex Tanney this week. He was signed last week. You may have seen his YouTube trick shot video

I don't know if a trick shot video should inspire confidence in me for Gordon's prospects with a signed-off-the-streets QB, but...you know what? It kinda does.Starting Gordon with confidenceThere's a real possibility that the Browns will be starting Alex Tanney this week. He was signed last week. You may have seen his YouTube trick shot video
Id say Gordon is a better WR ...he does more with less1. Calvin
2. Julio
3. Gordon
Julio was the #1 WR when he got hurt. Don't forget that.
I also like Gordon because he seems more durable. Julio is an incredible talent but he always seems to be dealing with a foot/knee/hammy issue.Id say Gordon is a better WR ...he does more with less1. Calvin

This is also concerning me since it looks like Weeden will be out and Campbell still not a go. What are Gordon owners thinking here?I can't shake the feeling that we're gonna get a nice 3/24/0 out of him in our first playoff game.

Playoffs last 2 weeks in FFPC, he's already at the top of the playoff section of the season. I own him in many of the 14-16 playoff leagues, he'll be fine. All WRs have bad games, not a 1 of them who can put up 100/TD week to week for more than maybe 4 or 5 if you're lucky. Gordon has shown a lot this season, it's insane how he just ran away from the Jax Jags secondary last week. Guy seems like he is on a mission. He still is just 22 years old, in dynasty he might be the #2/#3 ranked WR overall. Be proud, stand tall, get out from behind the couch.I can't shake the feeling that we're gonna get a nice 3/24/0 out of him in our first playoff game.

the only issue from a dynasty/keeper POV is the pot issue and the fact that he's tested continuously and his next failure and he's out for a year.Playoffs last 2 weeks in FFPC, he's already at the top of the playoff section of the season. the best thing that can happen for Gordon owners is the Pats go up by 3 tds in the 1st half and the Browns just chuck all 2nd half.i am worried. I do feel like BB will scheme and shut him down, plus his QB picture is murky. But absolutely no way I sit him.
I am enjoying the ride as much as anybody. However, there is no way I'd rank him anywhere near that high in dynasty. After the Justin Blackmon suspension, somebody posted a link to an article from a former player that had been a part of the NFL substance abuse "program." Suffice it to say the program is unbelievably invasive and thorough. I think you'd have to ignore the very real possibility that this guy could be in Justin Blackmon's shoes in an instant to rank him that high.Playoffs last 2 weeks in FFPC, he's already at the top of the playoff section of the season. It could happen but considering how many teams he has singlehandedly carried to the playoffs the last two weeks I really can't complain when he has the inevitable dud.I can't shake the feeling that we're gonna get a nice 3/24/0 out of him in our first playoff game.

I don't think anyone is seriously comparing anyone to Calvin.and thats what sets Calvin apart from these 2...hes durable and isnt a head caseI also like Gordon because he seems more durable. Not necessarily true. I posted an article of an analysis of the situation that shows he may very well still be in stage 2.the only issue from a dynasty/keeper POV is the pot issue and the fact that he's tested continuously and his next failure and he's out for a year.Playoffs last 2 weeks in FFPC, he's already at the top of the playoff section of the season. This is encouraging. Very strict policy is the only way to keep it in the front of his mind that he can't f up.I am enjoying the ride as much as anybody. I didn’t drink for two years. I laid low and found other hobbies. I was upset, but I knew I was the only one to blame for being in there. I was urine tested at 4:30 a.m. in the woods of Georgia, after a long, unsuccessful evening of hunting for Bigfoot. I was so deep in the woods, trying to find that damn Sasquatch, I missed the calls of the tester. By the time I got out of the woods, there was 15 minutes left for me to generate enough urine to fill the cup. If I failed that test, I would’ve moved into Stage 3, which lasts the rest of your career. I was not about to do that. I had to give my bladder a motivational speech, and about five bottles of Pedialyte.
I was urine tested 190 times in 27 months. I had 108 counselor sessions. 100 “change of location” conversations. And to be honest, it wasn’t that bad. Was it redundant? Yeah. Should it be run differently? To separate folks who do it right, and the large majority of folks who will never get out of the program? Yeah. Do you feel like somebody is watching your every step? Yeah, but for me, it was a harsh reality I needed. I was wild, and that night was not an anomaly, so I’m pretty thankful the program entered my life. But I definitely think it needs to be changed a bit, too. So, if you hear about a guy getting into trouble, or failing a test, please don’t think that they’re not being punished. It’s a tough program to get through. And if you slip up, and you’re a superstar, the word will get around.
Same here. Just can't bench him though.I can't shake the feeling that we're gonna get a nice 3/24/0 out of him in our first playoff game.

I get the dialogue and all, but it's kind of pointless. Are you REALLY going to sit him?
I haven't read any news other than Weeden was sent home yesterday, and they won't know until starting tomorrow really where he and Campbell are at. They had to sign Hanie since they aren't sure what the week brings with their QB situation.News looks bad on weeden :/, never thought that would make me cringe... Gotta roll with JG regardless but hopefully Weeden makes a miracle recovery and targets him 20 times the next 3 weeks
thats because Clint Eastwood is THE MAN !!!!!!!If Clint Eastwood was throwing the ball to Josh Gordon I'd still start him.
I don't get it. Can't both of my posts be true?I can't shake the feeling that we're gonna get a nice 3/24/0 out of him in our first playoff game.

Yes they can. I dont have a good feeling about this game either but how in the hell can I justify benching him?Honestly though Im gonna think hard about it if we are looking at Tanney or Hanie startingI don't get it.
