Seems like he's been Questionable for the last several weeks. What's the word out of NY?

i haven't seen anything that says he won't play. Been to a couple Jet message boards

He's been questionable since Week 2 but hasn't missed a game. Roll with Coles if you need him. Nice matchup, especially if Leigh Bodden sits.

Haven't heard that he is any worse than he has been for the last couple of weeks. I'm playing him again.

What is the word on Coles. He is questionable every week but still plays. Is he getting any better, staying the same, or gradually getting worse?

I think he def. plays, I own him, and not afraid of injury hurting him but am concerned about the monsoon winds expected in East tomorrow.

10/28 12:31 Jets: Coles expected to play

The News

Jets wide receiver Laveranues Coles did not practice Friday due to a calf injury, but is expected to play Sunday against the Browns, according to the New York Daily News.

Our View

Coles has been dealing with various injuries, including the calf, for a few weeks which haven't slowed him down on Sundays at all. Unless you hear otherwise on his injury status, Coles should be a good start against the Browns, who will be without number one cornerback Gary Baxter.

The game is in Cleveland... the high winds are in New York, where the Giants are playing. Haven't looked at Cleveand's weather yet.edit to add: just read the other post which states there could be faitly high winds in CLE too, though nowhere near NY.

winds over 60 mph today, waves on Lake Erie up to 16 ft. not sure about tomorrow though.

The story on Coles.

I read this either on Insider or ESPN magazine.

Supposely the story on Coles is the Jets are using his former Calf injury as an excuse for the injury report. The REAL injury is to Coles wrist which he has been playing through each game in pain, but had been toughing it out. His calf is not an issue its a diversion.

Laveranues Coles, WR NYJNews: According to the New York Daily News, Jets WR Laveranues Coles (calf), who is listed as questionable for Week 8 at Cleveland, did not practice Friday but did dress out as he intended to take part. Despite not being able to practice all week, Coles is expected to play Sunday against the Browns.Analysis: You might have to follow this situation up until inactives are released, but the report is that Coles will play on Sunday. Coles had a relatively quiet day against a poor Lions secondary in Week 7 netting four catches for only 29 yards. Look for him to rebound in Week 8 against the Browns. Consider him a No. 1 Fantasy WR option.

I'm not to sure about him this week, makes me wonder if the game last week is a sign of things to come.

Gusty winds and the nagging injuries.. (Especially after the 4 catches for 29yds last week)... Benching him and starting Key Johnson.

He was doubled all last week. They basically tried to take him out of the game, which lead to Cotchery's solid game. I don't belive that it's a sign of things to come.

Thanks, do you know how much practice he got in this week?

Wondering myself. He seems to be getting into a real hot n cold thing, which is just what I don't need....in fact cost me my game last week.

I see that happen alot in Football. They take out one guy. The other guy goes off. The next week the D gears up to stop the other guy. First guy goes off. I'm hoping for that today. I'm starting Lavernues....

Considering the wind, Im thinking about sitting Coles in favor of Moose vs. SF....any thoughts or comments would be appreciated.
