WR Nathaniel “Tank” Dell, HOU (1 Viewer)

Certainly bad, but y’all realize that Stroud threw for a grand total of 86 yards today?
Sure, but Dell dropped a TD pass he should have caught on the first series of the game. Then he turned into a zero the rest of the game like he's been most of the season.

The OL problems seem to really hurt him making plays down field, and he gets rocked by press coverage if he's on the line of scrimmage. He's been a major disappointment this season.

Ready to rage-drop, even in dynasty.

Last year appears to be fool's gold in the worst way.
This is where I'm at. Looking through other teams' rosters trying to find someone else disappointing to swap him with.
Lmk how that goes. I'm more apt to look for Johnny-come-lately types such as a Tucker Kraft, but . . . I'm not gonna get him for TANKED Dell.

At this point I feel like no one's going to give me much. And why should they? Collins is OUT and Dell is still garbagio.

Pretty sad to see anyone goose egg, especially a starting WR on a good offense.

The Packers defense also may be more legit than people think.

man..... I had high hopes for Tank this year.

My biggest miss probably
Prolly next year is a bounce back since Tony Pollard is undergoing the same resurgence.

That said, do we continue to start Tank? Trade low on name value?

not sure he is either startable or tradeable, but doesn't hurt to try the latter

I'll probably just let him continue to be a roster clogger on my bench, then dump him before the playoffs when his % owned will be lower & less embarrassing

;)

When Nico missed time last year, Dell was getting nearly 10 targets a game. Thus far this year, he's closer to 4 regardless of Nico's absence or not. He's just not getting enough opportunities on top of what we're seeing him perform to relative to last year. Some of that is Diggs cutting into those targets clearly (and I and others were wrong thinking Diggs might eat more into Nico) but a lot of that is the OL like Major mentions too.

Dell has a role on this team, but I'm surprised in Nico's absence that they haven't adjusted him more. Schultz's share is also down a bit, but Dell's is by far most affected.

He's still playing over 70% of snaps, he's gotten a minimum of 4 targets a game, and I believe in Stroud.

I feel like he's a regression target. Maybe not to the projections some had for him, which I thought were a bit optimistic, but I am ready to believe he could be among top 24 WR moving forward. Just feels like so many WRs have seen their fortunes take a hit this year.

Ridiculous game by him and Stroud. Nico out and this guy needs to be the focal point. Laughable how poorly they performed from both a real football and FF perspective.

dropped a TD

not a gimme, he was falling down, but it hit him in the hands & he routinely makes that kind of catch

every week I keep thinking it’ll change, too much talent, he’s a good WR with refined traits

vexing

Owning Tank has been difficult this season. We watched him struggle, miss long passes, not resemble anything close to last season's blow up games.

But all of a sudden, it's a good time to be a Tank owner again. Enjoy the next month or so.

Looked like last year's Tank once Diggs was out of the game.
In what way? I did not see the game. I always thought Diggs would be a cancer that would cause Tank to suck. I am not saying this happened, but just going in line with my thinking, I am not surprised by what you are saying.

4 for 35 and a TD is not exactly coming alive. Especially since 2 of those catches and the TD were in the 1st half before Diggs got hurt. Texans offense did go super conservative in the 2nd half so Dell may have gotten more targets if otherwise

Not confident about him tonight as the main guy. He just hasn't shown us what we saw last season yet. Without Diggs, I do like him as a solid WR2 down the stretch when Nico returns....he thrived in that role last year.

Still debating taking a shot at starting Sutton against the Ravens instead Tank tonight.

Yeah I'm not confident tonight either but I don't have anyone better and I can't give him away (hard as I've tried), so guess I'm rolling with Tank again.

Start 2: Tank, Tillman, Keon Coleman
Tillman and Tank but it's close between Tank and Coleman.
Agree, really close!
Tillman is clearly the alpha on the outside and will get targets. Coleman has Cooper to compete with and probably isn't getting above 5-7 targets. No idea on Tank he seems more volatile but the one more likely to get targeted heavily. I think Coleman is capped.

I'm starting him over Waddle. He should, at least, get a great target share although I suspect an even more run-heavy approach than their usual MO. Hopefully it doesn't backfire.

Let's root for the trash Jets to rack up an early lead.

I'm starting him over Tillman. My reasoning being I don't want to see another WR have a good game on my bench like I did last Thursday with Puka.
So 🤢

I was wrong....he came through tonight against a pretty good pass defense. Now I gotta hope that Sutton can grab a score to equal or surpass Tank's output.

Glad he did good though....gonna need him down the stretch.

he looked really good last night and is rounding into form. I think Collins’ presence will only help him moving forward
Happy to see the deep targets again. Looks like a line from last year.

Clear trend up ROS right? Diggs injury only helps him plus Diggs diva behavior tends to be a negative for teammate output (aside from Collin’s)

diggs was a horrid move for the franchise. hated it from the moment it happened...
put a dent into tank, unnecessarily. collins and dell were a wonderful 1-2, they just needed another compliment, not a hog.

anyways,, future very bright... loved this kid coming out of college as a potential homerun, and health permitting... he should be just that for a long while.

Traded him for Allgeier after the packers dud lol

Loaded at WR and have zero RB depth but still love TANK... that one is going to hurt

Dynasty..I traded for Dell before the season and then traded for Collins the week before he got hurt. Loving the combo going forward once Collins is back. The way Mixon is running the ball will only help the passing game.
